Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily regulate coated thickness by providing a metering roll to regulate thickness of coating liquid applied on a sheetlike material and providing an air nozzle by which air is blown to the rear of the sheetlike material or sucked from the rear. CONSTITUTION:Coating liquid 15 is applied on the surface of a sheetlike material 1 at prescribed thickness or more by a fountain 3. Further thickness of coating liquid coated by the fountain 3 is regulated by a metering roll 4 provided in the width direction of the material 1 so that it is brought into contact with the surface of the material 1. Air is blown to the rear of the material 1 or the rear of the material 1 is sucked by an air nozzle 5 arranged nearly parallel to the roll 4 in the vicinity of the roll 4. As a result, coated thickness can be regulated easily and finely during running of the sheetlike material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent excessive coating liquids from scattering by providing a scraper plate to scrape excessive coating liquids between a sheet-like material and a backup roller on the inlet side of the sheet-like material so that the clearance between the forward end of the scraper plate and a metering bar is equal to a specific length. CONSTITUTION:A coating means 11 to apply coating liquids 12 to the surface of a running sheet-like material 9, a metering bar 13 rotating in the same direction as the running direction of sheet-like material 9, which is provided in the width direction of sheet-like material 9 to meter the coating liquids applied by the coating means 11 so that the thickness of applied coating liquids becomes a predetermined thickness, and backup rollers 14a, 14b to support the metering bar 13 are provided. And scraper plates 15, 18 to scrape the coating liquids which have attached to the metering bar 13 situated between the sheet-like material 9 and the backup rollers on the inlet side of the sheet-like material 9 are provided at such a position that the clearance between the forward end surface of the scraper plates and the outer periphery of the metering bar is in the range of 0.03-3mm. As a result, scattering of excessive coating liquids due to centrifugal forces can be avoided.

Next, the table 6 is moved again, when each coating area is located just under each discharge opening 72A, 72B, syringe pumps 44A, 44B are actuated independently, the coating liquid sucked from tanks 50A, 50B is discharged from each die 40A, 40B to be applied on each coating area.

The transfer unit guides independently in the width direction by a guide rail and in the vertical direction by a guide rail, contacts a driving part comprising a ball screw and a servo-motor, does movement in the width direction of the substrate 4 of the cutters 42A, 43B, and in the vertical direction optionally and freely, cuts the cured coating film 20 of the substrate 4, and molds in a prescribed film thickness shape.
