    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance and water resistance of an electric conducting layer by constituting the electric conducting layer with a conducting element and a binder containing a specific constituent. CONSTITUTION:A metal band 6 wound on the outer periphery of side well sections of an electrification preventing film 7 and a faceplate 5 is electrically connected by an electric conducting layer 8. This conducting layer 8 is made of a conducting oxidized layer constituted of a conducting element and a binder containing at least amorphous silicone oxide or silicone hydroxide. At least one metal element is selected among aluminum, copper, nickel, carbon, silver and gold for the conducting element. The conducting layer 8 contains amorphous silicone oxide or silicone hydroxide, thus it has excellent heat resistance and water resistance. A large quantity of conducting metal is added, and it has sufficiently small resistance. The waterproof film 7 and the band 6 can be surely connected with the conducting layer 8.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high reliability deflecting device without heat generation even in a high horizontal deflecting frequency by forming a ceramic layer with an infrared radiation characteristic on a surface of a mold so that at least one of amorphous silicon oxide and silicon hydroxide is used as a binder. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic layer 6 with an infrared radiation characteristic is formed on a surface of a mold 4 made of polypropylene. This ceramic layer 6 is coated with a vinyl group or a mercapton group as an organic functional group, trimethoxysilane group as an inorganic functional group, and a pretreatment agent of a silane coupling agent containing a triethoxysilane group, and it is dried, so that the ceramic layer with the infrared radiation characteristic can be formed without peeled parts on its mold surface. This ceramic layer 6 enables this deflecting device to have few rise in temperature of the mold even if the device is operated in a high horizontal deflecting frequency.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable displaying of a high contrast image with only a small decrease in brightness on a fluorescent screen, by using a filter material having an illuminant color different from a luminous color for a green phosphor out of three color phosphors. CONSTITUTION:A green phosphor layer 11G is formed of a green phosphor coated with a filter material consisting of a TiCoAlLi group blue pigment. The phosphor and the filter material are provided into the phosphor layer 11G. The TiCoAlLi group blue pigment as the filter material absorbs external light in a specific wavelength region, without deteriorating light emission of the green and blue phosphors. Hence, a color cathode-ray tube can be formed so as to display bright images with few decrease in brightness of the phosphors. Moreover, even if the filter material of the green phosphor is deposited, as a residue, in the blue phosphor layer 11B formed in advance, bad effects are not brought.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the quality deterioration of an image screen, by making the average pitch of the projections and the recesses of a transparent membrane almost equal to that of a glass panel surface, and the average height of the projections and the recesses of the membrane smaller than that of the panel surface. CONSTITUTION:A transparent membrane 3 is formed in an uneven surface by the unevenness of a glass panel 1 surface. In this case, the average pitch of the recesses 31 and the projections 32 of the transparent membrane 3 is made almost equal to that of the recesses 11 and the projections 12 of the panel 1 surface, while the average height of the recesses 31 and the projections 32 of the membrane 3 is made smaller than that of the recesses and the projections 11 and 12 of the panel 1 surface. Therefore, the smallest necessary amount of the transparent membrane 3 is secured in order to make the initial quality of the image at the level of the ordinary one, the exposed membrane over the projections 12 of the panel 1 is reduced, and the membrane amount in the recesses 11 is increased. Consequently, even though the panel is brought in contact with various substances in such a condition, the rate of the hurt of the membrane 3 is reduced, since the membrane amount exposed on the projections 12 is smaller, and the deterioration of the image screen quality is decreased even for a long service time.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an electron beam from scattering, by forming an inner shield of a color picture tube in a way of installing an aluminum film, containing the specified quantity of silicon, on a surface of a soft steel plate, and forming it as a blackening film by means of heating in vacuum. CONSTITUTION:An inner shield of a color picture tube is formed in a way of installing an aluminum film, containing 0.5-15wt% of silicon, on a surface of a soft steel plate and, after it is heated in vacuum, a blackening film made up of containing at least aluminum, iron and silicon on the surface of the soft steel plate is formed there. As for a processing condition for the blackening film, heating temperature should be set to be more than 500 deg.C processing time to more than five minutes and vacuum to less than 10 mmHg, respectively. And, with this blackening film, scattering of an electron beam on the inner shield surface is prevented from occurring. Therefore, a contrast on an image plane is excellent and, what is more, owing to regulation of silicon content, improvement in an emission life characteristic is well promotable.

CONSTITUTION:The surface of 100pts.wt. phosphor matrix (e.g., ZnS:Cu, Al phosphor) is re-treated with a soln. contg. at least one member selected from among Pd, Au, Ag, and Pt and then plated with 0.005-1.0pt.wt. cobalt by electroless plating followed by calcination in an oxidizing atmosphere at 500-900 deg.C to form a CoO-contg. layer on the surface of the phosphor matrix.

A shadow mask 9 having an opening 8 is disposed opposite to the inside of a panel 3 having a phosphor layer 7 formed on the inside thereof and comprised of a red luminescent phosphor, a blue luminescent phosphor and the green luminescent phosphor which have been regularly deposited, while an electron gun 6 is disposed within a neck 5 of an enclosure comprised of the panel 3, a funnel 4, and a neck 5.

When the average thickness of silica layers against these phosphor substance of various particle diameters is not greater than 0.1mu preferably from 0.09mu upto 0.1mu, the surface reflection of the phosphor substance is decreased, and a color television picture tube having low exterior light reflection rate and high contrast can be obtained.
