Abstract: Esta invencion se refiere a un proceso para la preparacion de uno o varios compuestos de fosforo ácidos a partir de un fluido producto de la reaccion que contiene dicho compuesto de fosforo ácido o bien dichos compuestos de fosforoácidos, un catalizador de complejo metal-ligando de organofosfito y opcionalmente ligando de organofosfito libre, dicho proceso comprende (a) el tratamiento de dicho fluido producto de la reaccion con agua suficiente para remover al menos un parte de dicho compuesto de fosforo ácido o bien de dichos compuestos de fosforo ácidos a partir de dicho fluido producto de la reaccion y (b) el tratamiento del agua que contiene los compuestos de fosforo ácidos removidos de dicho fluido producto de la reaccion con una resina de intercambio de iones suficiente para remover al menos una parte de dicho compuesto de fosforo ácido o de dichos compuestos de fosforo ácidos del agua.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process for separating one or more phosphorus acidic compounds from a reaction product fluid containing said one or more phosphorus acidic compounds, a metal-organophosphite ligand complex catalyst and optionally free organophosphite ligand which process comprises (a) treating said reaction product fluid with water sufficient to remove at least some amount of said one or more phosphorus acidic compounds from said reaction product fluid and (b) treating the water which contains phosphorus acidic compounds removed from said reaction product fluid with an ion exchange resin sufficient to remove at least some amount of said one or more phosphorus acidic compounds from said water.

Abstract: This invention provides a process for stabilizing a phosphite ligand against degradation in a homogeneous reaction mixture containing a Group VIII transition metal catalyst and the phosphite ligand, said process comprising adding to the reaction mixture an epoxide in an amount from 0.001 to 5 weight percent based on the total weight of the reaction mixture to reduce the degradation of the ligand.
