    Abstract: The present invention relates to a robot cleaner system and a control method thereof. The robot cleaner system comprises a robot cleaner including a steam generation unit for generating steam and conducting steam cleaning while driving in a cleaning region; and a docking station including a water supply unit for supplying water to the steam generation unit and able to have the robot cleaner docked thereto. The volume of a water tank installed on the robot cleaner is reduced because the steam generation unit generates steam by heating water received from the water supply unit and accordingly the robot cleaner repeatedly receives water used for generating steam from the docking station. Therefore, the present invention can realize the slim design of the robot cleaner and can reduce the power consumption of a battery by reducing the whole volume and weight of the robot cleaner.

    Abstract: A mobile robot system having a liquid supply station and a liquid supply method are provided to improve user convenience by permitting the liquid supply station to automatically supply liquid when liquid is consumed. A mobile robot system(1) comprises a mobile robot(30); a liquid reservoir(37) arranged in the mobile robot so that the liquid tank stores liquid to be used by the mobile robot; and a liquid supply station(10) for supplying liquid to the liquid tank when the supply signal wirelessly transmitted from the mobile robot is received. The liquid supply station includes a liquid storage tank(11); a pump(12) communicated to the liquid storage tank so that the pump supplies liquid stored in the liquid storage tank; a supply nozzle unit(13) communicated to the pump so that the supply nozzle unit serves as a passage of the liquid supplied to the liquid tank; and a station controller for supplying the liquid by controlling the pump and the supply nozzle unit in accordance with the supply signal output from the mobile robot.
