Provided is a 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid derivative, which shows an elastase inhibitory effect and an excellent effect of scavenging free radicals generated by UV irradiation, has an excellent anti-aging effect, and is useful for an anti-aging cosmetic composition. The 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid derivative is a compound represented by a formula 1, substituted with hydroxyl groups at 3,5-position thereof and the amide group being substituted with a bulky substituent. The 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid derivative is obtained by the method comprising the steps of: (A) reacting 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid with acetic anhydride to form 3,5-diacetyloxybenzoic acid; (B) forming an amide compound from the 3,5-diacetyloxybenzoic acid by using ethyl chloroformate and an oleophilic group; and (C) hydrolyzing the acetyl group of the amide compound to provide a 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid derivative.

PURPOSE: Provided is a composition for skin external application containing the IB complex which is composed of soybean germ isoflavone aglycone, pomegranate extract and secoisolariciresinol, thereby improving skin wrinkle and enhancing elasticity. CONSTITUTION: The composition for skin external application is characterized by containing 0.001-20 wt.% of soybean germ isoflavone aglycone, 0.001-20 wt.% of pomegranate extract and 0.001-20 wt.% of secoisolariciresinol, based on the total weight of the composition. The composition has excellent effect on improvement of skin wrinkle and enhancement of elasticity.

The present invention relates to a method for evaluating damage of a skin barrier using a biomarker, and more specifically, to a method for evaluating damage of a skin barrier, comprising collecting dead skin cells or sebum to measure a biomarker therefrom. In addition, the present invention relates to a kit for evaluating damage of a skin barrier by collecting dead skin cells or sebum to measure a biomarker therefrom. The method and kit for evaluating damage of a skin barrier are used to easily and rapidly evaluate the damage of the skin barrier, thereby promptly and conveniently determining skin diseases such as atopy and psoriasis and the presence or absence of bacterial infection, and thus can diagnose the skin conditions.
