PURPOSE: A method for supporting communication route optimization in a 6LoWPAN based MANEMO(Mobile Ad-hoc for NEMO) environment is provided to optimize a communication route, thereby minimizing packet transmission delay. CONSTITUTION: Mobile routers(816,818,820,822) transmit an RS(Router Solicitation) message for a registration request about a moved wireless network to a gateway(814). The gateway obtains an address of the mobile router from the RS message. The gateway assigns a new address to the mobile router. The gateway transmits an RA(Router Advertisement) message to the mobile router. The mobile router obtains assigned address information and gateway address information from the RA message.

A mobility supporting method of a sensor node and a system thereof in 6LoWPAN is provided to apply proxy mobile IPv6 to 6LoWPAN environment of a multi hop environment supplying the mobility of the mobile sensor node connected by one hop unit. A sensor node(405b) recognizing an access of a mobile sensor node(400) in a proxy mobile 6LoWPAN informs the coordinator of the access of the movement sensor node. Information requested from the AAA server is received by requesting the information of the mobile sensor node to the AAA server through IPv6. The coordinator transmits the information of the movement sensor node.

A packet transmission method in a local area network is provided to maximize the transmission efficiency and energy saving by controlling the initial backoff value according to a duty cycle. A network device produces a packet(S301), transmits the generated packet to an MAC layer(S303), and then checks whether the other packet exists in the MAC layer or not(S305). If the network device is in the activity cycle, it sets up a backoff value as the decreasing function of a duty cycle(S309).

A handover method using mutual authentication in a WiBro(Wireless Broadband) network and its system are provided to improve security by providing an effective handover function and mutual authentication function. When requesting handover from an SBS(Serving Base Station)(200) to a TBS(Target BS)(300), an MS(Mobile Station)(100) generates its temporary number and requests a handover from the SBS. According to the handover request of the MS, the SBS transmits a handover request message including a field for storing the temporary number of the MS to the TBS. The TBS transmits a handover response message including fields for the temporary number of the MS ciphered by using an authentication key received from an authentication server connected via a network and a certificate of the TBS to the SBS.

An RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol) supporting method in an IPv4(Internet Protocol version 4)/IPv6 unified network system and a system therefor are provided to enable traffic transmitted to a dual stack host located within an IPv6 network to receive QoS(Quality of Service) from a server, thereby ensuring QoS by setup through end-to-end RSVP connection. A dual stack host(100) within an IPv6 network transmits an end-to-end QoS session connection request message to an IPv4 server(500) through a DSTM(Dual Stack Transition Mechanism) TEP(Tunnel End Point)(300)(S10-S60). The server(500) transmits an end-to-end path message to the host(100) through the TEP(300)(S70,S80). The TEP(300) transmits a path message for resource reservation to the host(100)(S90). The host(100) sends an end-to-end resource reservation request message to the server(500), so that resource reservation is set within an IPv4 network(S100,S110). The host(100) sends a resource reservation request message to the TEP(300), so that resource reservation can be set within an IPv6 network(S120).

An authentication system in a DSTM(Dual Stack Transition Mechanism) communication network and a method thereof are provided to efficiently solve a problem of the shortage of an IP(Internet Protocol) address such as a DoS attack by disabling the system to respond automatically. An authentication method in a DSTM communication network includes the steps of: storing at least one image file to be used in authentication of a DSTM server, and authentication values of the image files in a database(S201); transmitting the image files to a DSTM node which requests address allocation at a DSTM server(S202); if a user of the DSTM node inputs the authentication value to be checked through the received image files, transmitting the inputted authentication value and the image files to the DSTM server(S203); and performing authentication by comparing the authentication value and the image files stored in the database with the authentication value and the image files received from the DSTM node(S204,205).

A method and an apparatus for processing packets in an IPv4/IPv6(Internet Protocol version4/Internet Protocol version6) integrated network are provided to identify a tunnel session through a flow label field of an IPv6 header in a tunnel section when the packet is transmitted in a tunneling manner according to the RSVP, thereby minimizing packet overhead. An apparatus for processing a packet in an IPv4/IPv6 integrated network comprises the followings: a transmitting host which transmits a path message for requesting a session resource according to the RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol) and transmits the packet to an established endpoint session; a first node which establishes a tunnel session mapped to the endpoint session when the path message is provided from the transmitting host and transmits a tunnel path message including identification information for identifying each session, and transmits the packet, which is received through the endpoint session, to a mapped tunnel session; a second node which establishes the first node and the tunnel session, and transmits the packet, which is received through the tunnel session, to a mapped endpoint session according to the identification information included in the tunnel path message; and a receiving host which establishes the endpoint session by transmitting the reservation message to the transmitting host through each node when the path message is received through the each node.
