PURPOSE: A location measuring apparatus and method are provided to precisely measure positions using information provided by a visible-ray wireless communication device and an image sensor and the inclination of the image sensor. CONSTITUTION: A location measuring method comprises the steps of: acquiring the focal distance of an image sensor(S100), acquiring virtual coordinates(S110), acquiring a first virtual light-source distance on the image sensor tilting based on the virtual coordinates(S120), measuring the inclination of the image sensor(S130), acquiring a virtual height(S140), calculating a second virtual light-source distance(S150), acquiring first and second virtual distances(S160), calculating first and second distances(S170), and acquiring the position of the image sensor(S180).

PURPOSE: A visible ray wireless communication transceiving device and a method thereof are provided to reduce lowering of brightness of a light device or a visible ray source compared to an OOK(On-Off Keying) modulation method or a PPM(Pulse Position Modulation) method. CONSTITUTION: A bit converting unit receives VLC(Visible Light Communications) source data(S210). A setting unit sets a pulse width control process of pulse width modulation within a unit time period(S220). The bit converting unit converts symbols of m bits into symbols of 2m bits according to a bit converting table(S230). A modulation unit generates the converted symbols of 2m into a PWM signal(S240). An LED light source module generates a visible ray modulation signal corresponding to light of LEDs(S250).

PURPOSE: A transmitter and receiver for visible light wireless communication and a method thereof are provided to minimize the luminance difference between lightings for a visible light signal in a visible light wireless communication device. CONSTITUTION: A source code recognition unit(130) recognizes source bit columns as source codes of a first coefficient, wherein the source codes are formed by bit unit. A line coding unit(140) encodes each source code as an encoding code of a second coefficient which is larger than the first coefficient. The encoding code includes the bits corresponding to the coefficient which is one of two natural numbers.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A wireless memory device and a file copy method thereof are provided to noticeably reduce file copy time by performing an automatic file copy function among wireless memory devices. CONSTITUTION: A memory(110) stores data. A database(120) stores file information of the data of an allowed wireless memory device. A controller(140) receives file information of data stored in an adjacent wireless memory device among the allowed wireless memory devices and determines a file to copy using the file information. The controller receives a file of data to copy from the adjacent wireless memory device and copies the file in the memory. A wireless communication unit(130) performs wireless communication with the adjacent wireless memory device.
Abstract:
A state control device of a cellular system and a controlling method are provided to control state transition of a terminal according to QoS(Quality of Service) and the type of a packet service, thus efficient use of radio resources is possible while power consumption is reduced. When the state of a terminal is set as an active state, a resource manager(410) allocates reverse and forward traffic channels to the terminal, and if the state is set as an idle state, the manager(410) enables the terminal to stop synchronous maintenance for the reverse traffic channel. When a sub state of the active-state terminal is set as a scheduling state, a scheduler(440) allocates resources of the reverse and forward traffic channels to the terminal according to QoS supported to the terminal, and when the sub state is set as a scheduling excluding state, the scheduler(440) enables the terminal to non-continuously transceive packet data through the reverse and forward traffic channels.

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for determining channel information in an OFDM system and a recording medium for storing a program are provided to improve the adaptive modulation/code performance by feeding back only the channel information of a corresponding sub-carrier. CONSTITUTION: Information of sub-carrier groups is received from a base station(S1). The best sub-carrier group is selected from the sub-carrier groups by considering the channel environment(S2). A minimum modulation/coding scheme is obtained from modulation/coding schemes(S3). A channel variation level and a transmission bit within each sub-carrier group are obtained according to each modulation/code scheme by increasing gradually the modulation/coding scheme level(S4-S8). A representative value is determined by using the modulation/code scheme and the channel variation level(S9,S10). The information related to the modulation/code scheme and the channel change level for the corresponding sub-carrier is fed back to the base station(S11).

PURPOSE: A transmission system of an OFDM-CDMA system for transmitting a signal to a base station and a transmitting method thereof are provided to increase the efficiency of data transmission by transmitting a modulated signal using a favorable subcarrier. CONSTITUTION: A transmission system of an OFDM-CDMA system for transmitting a signal to a base station includes an adaptive modulation unit(302), a serial/parallel conversion unit(303), a subcarrier correction unit(304), a diffusion conversion unit(305), an IFFT(Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) unit(306), a digital/analog converter(307), and a frequency converter(308). The adaptive modulation unit(302) receives user data and performs an adaptive modulation process for the user data. The serial/parallel conversion unit(303) converts the adaptively modulated user data into parallel user data. The subcarrier correction unit(304) collects the parallel user in the same subcarrier units. The diffusion conversion unit(305) diffuses and converts the user data to identify each user. The IFFT unit(306) performs an IFFT operation for the user data. The digital/analog converter(307) is used for converting the corresponding subcarriers of the user data to analog data. The frequency converter(308) is used for converting the analog data to RF data.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for canceling pilot signals from neighbor base stations is disclosed. The present invention cancels unnecessary pilot signals transmitted from the neighbor base stations by detecting, analyzing a PN signal in a pilot signal of each base station, generating estimated interference signal according to analyzed information from the detected PN signal and subtracting estimated interference signal from the received signal. Therefore, the present invention increases a bandwidth of downlink transmission channel and improves the demodulator to be operatable in low signal-to-noise ratio (Eb/No).
Abstract:
An apparatus and method of searching a preamble signal in a search window for reducing a chip size of a preamble searcher in a transceiver of a base station is enclosed. By using a plurality of small window preamble searchers searching the preamble signal in a small search window, which is a division of a large search windows of a conventional preamble searcher divided by search start times, the preamble searcher of the entire search window can be implemented and the size of semiconductor chip is reduced by implementing distributing small preamble searcher in a small semiconductor chips.
