    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided are a chelate resin containing a sulfonic acid group having superior hydrophilicity and chelate adsorption power to a certain heavy metal ion, and a preparing method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The chelate resin for the adsorption of heavy metal ions is represented by the formula 1, wherein a spacer of a N-methyl sulfonamide linkage structure is introduced onto a phenyl branch in a spherical polystyrene copolymer, and in succession, a sulfonic acid group as a chelate functional group is introduced thereonto. The chelate resin is prepared by the method comprising the steps of; reacting a spherical polystyrene copolymer resin which is obtained by suspension polymerization of styrene monomers with divinylbenzene as a cross-linking agent, with chlorosulfonic acid to prepare a chlorosulfonated copolymer resin represented by the formula 2; and reacting the obtained copolymer resin of the formula 2 with aminomethanesulfonic acid. In the formula 1 and 2, A represents a hydrogen atom or an alkali metal atom.

Preferably the solvent mixture comprises 20-90 wt% of a high boiling point organic solvent and 10-80 wt% of a low boiling point organic solvent.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to novel antibacterial agents wherein the lone pair electrons of nitrogen atoms of amine compounds with high boiling point or water-soluble polymer with basic nitrogen at the backbone or side chain are coordinated with silver ion, and antibacterial and deodorizing solution comprising them. Since the antibacterial agents of the present invention has silver (Ag) ion coordinated with the lone pair electrons of nitrogen atom, the problems of conventional silver (Ag) compounds, i.e., their ease discoloration in general waters such as tap water and industrial water, are solved, and the inherent antibacterial activity is maintained due to the stabilization of silver ion (Ag+).     Abstract: PURPOSE: A chelate resin containing a phosphono group and a sulfon group as a chelate functional group is provided which improves adsorptivity and reusability as compared with conventional chelate resins.
