Abstract: An apparatus for preventing opening of a tail gate when a flip-up glass is opened is provided to lock the tail gate by rotating a control rod to limit movement of a handle rod with a protrusion of the control rod. An apparatus for preventing opening of a tail gate when a flip-up glass is opened comprises a rotative arm(1), an operation rod(3), and a control rod(6). The rotative arm is installed at a flip-up glass latch, and pivots according to rotation of a latch plate(P) caused by opening and closing of the flip-up glass. The operation rod is connected with the rotative arm by a first hinge(2) and interlocks with the rotative arm. The control rod, which is connected with the operation rod by a second hinge(4), rotates around a hinge pin(5), when the operation rod pivots and locks and unlocks operation of a handle rod(R). The control rod has a hole and a protrusion. The handle rod can move in the opening of the control rod so that the tail gate opens. The protrusion extends from the hole and limits the movement of the handle rod.
