Abstract: A pre-slit injection site (436) includes a housing with an axial flow path (444) therethrough. A first end portion (438) has the form of a male Luer connector. The other end includes a pre-slit septum (442). The tapered exterior surface of the male Luer is substantially surrounded by a generally cylindrical gripping collar (446). The second end is provided on its outer surface with threads (452) and also with a radially-extending shoulder (454). Abstract: A needleless connector (450) is provided which utilizes a resealable preslit septum valve (402). The valve (402) includes a disk shaped upper portion (404) covering the opening, a lower portion (406) spaced from the housing (418) and extending downward from the disk shaped portion into a passageway defined by the housing (418), and an annular skirt (408) to attach the septum to the housing. The connector (450) exhibits satisfactory leak pressure after multiple connections and disconnects to the luer lock fitting and long periods of indwell of the luer tip (18).
