Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an air bag storage pad good in productivity and yield with its weight being reducible by compounding a lightweight filler specified in true specific gravity and breakdown strength with a thermoplastic elastomer specified in Shore durometer hardness. CONSTITUTION:A lightweight filler having a true specific gravity of 0.7 or less and a breakdown strength of 50kg/cm or more is compounded with a thermoplastic elastomer having a Shore durometer hardness of 55D or less for producing an air bag storage pad 1. As the thermoplastic elastomer in use, a urethane elastomer containing a urethane as a main component, an olefin elastomer containing a polyethylene, a polypropylene, or the like as a main component, and the like are preferable. As the light-weight filler in use, silicic inorganic balloons, non-silicic inorganic balloons, thermosetting organic balloons, and the like are preferable.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a pad cover for air bag system for preventing the cleavage of a tear line from promotion without appreciably extending a desired region and for smoothly and completely inflating the cleaved cover part by reaching the cleavage of the tear line to the desired area regardless of a change in an ambient atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:An inflation promotion part 10 is provided at either side 3 of a pad cover 1. Each inflation promoting part has a groove 11 oriented nearly in parallel with a lateral groove 6 in an H-shaped tear line. The groove is formed in the rear of each end wall 3a for a predetermined length to constitute a fragile part discontinued to the tear line.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To readily scrape away dirt sticking to the surface of a conveying belt and to reduce a friction coefficient with respect to glass and load current by forming plural oblong holes on the surface of the belt. CONSTITUTION:The title belt is formed by molding thermoplastic elastomer and is the endless conveying belt 5 for a copying machine which sets originals to the surface of a platen glass one by one. Plural oblong holes 6 are formed on the surface of the belt. When the belt is driven, the friction coefficient with respect to glass can be lowered owing to the existence of the oblong holes, which allows reduction in load current. To clean out dirt with cleaner, it can be readily scraped away along the oblong holes. Thus the conveying belt can be readily cleaned, and reductions in the friction coefficient with respect to the glass and in load current are accomplished.
