Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an image processor becomes inactive and a fatal fault results when specific information such as a serial number for each image processor stored in a nonvolatile memory is erased by the exhaustion of a backup power source of the nonvolatile memory. SOLUTION: Specific information data containing error detection information are stored in a first nonvolatile memory are which does not require the backup power source and when turning on a power source, the specific information data are copied in a second nonvolatile memory are inside the image processor. When an error is detected in the specific information data in the first nonvolatile memory area, the specific information data in the second nonvolatile memory area are validated. Further, when an error is detected in the intrinsic information data in the second nonvolatile memory area as well, an operator is urged to perform input of the specific information data. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wait an instruction from an information terminal similarly to the case of execution of other processing even in the case of processing such as printing based on the instruction sent from the information terminal and further to easily divert the processing part of an existent printer or the like on the side of data processor in a system connecting the information processing terminal and the data processor for which peripheral equipment such as printer is diverted. SOLUTION: When recording out the visible image of data from a PC by a printer part based on an instruction received from the PC through an I/F controller 37, an instruction command for a FAX control part 11 received from the PC is temporarily stored in a buffer memory 38 and a part peculiar for the FAX control part 11 is detached from that command, converted for a printer control part 21 and transferred to the printer part later. In the printer part which receives this command through an I/F controller 66, recording processing is performed similarly to the case of recording processing based on the instruction from an existent printer driver.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate file retrieval by an operator by determining the file name of voice data in relation to generation date and time data when the voice data are transferred from a voice data processor to an information processing terminal device and stored. SOLUTION: The voice data processor 100 converts a voice signal inputted to a voice signal input part 104 into voice data and stores the voice data in a voice data area in a RAM 102 and generation date and time and creator data of the voice data in the same voice management area. When voice and generation date and time data are all prepared, those data are transferred from an external interface part 107 to the external interface part 306 of the information processing terminal device 300. Then the information processing terminal device 300 temporarily stores in a RAM 302 the data received from the voice data processor 100. The stored voice data are transferred to a voice data area of a storage part 304 and the data on the generation date and time are transferred to the same voice management data area as a voice data file.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an exact ink residue amount regardless of the installation environment of a device which is susceptible of a change by determining the presence of an ink residue through the comparison between the quantity of light received by a light receiving element and a specified threshold value, transferring a recording head tentatively to an ink discharge position and detecting again the ink residue amount. SOLUTION: After the completion of an operation to store a single page, a recording head 5 is transferred to a position near an ink residue amount sensor 110, then an operation to discharge an ink is performed in such a way that the ink traverses a light beam emitted by a light emitting element, and thus the ink residue amount is measured by detection. In addition, the position of the recording head 5 is shifted from its routine position by ±ΔL and again the ink is tentatively discharged so that a position where an ink liquid droplet drops coincides with the photoaxial position of the sensor 110. The ink residue amount detected at a position deviated from the routine position is compared to the ink residue amount detected at the routine position. In this case, if the variation of a photoelectric current through a light receiving element obtained by detecting the ink residue amount at the position deviated from the routine position is more significant than that obtained by detecting the ink residue amount at the routine position, the deviated position is used as a routine position for the following detection of the ink residue amount.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control recording on the basis of a residual amt. of ink. SOLUTION: After the recording corresponding to one page of recording paper using a recording head is completed, ink is trailly emitted and an ink residual amt. detection sensor according to a photointerruptor system is used to estimate a residual amt. (x) of ink. Herein, two threshold values (TH1, TH2) are compared and, in the case of TH1

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a received image while keeping the printer mode by analyzing a kind of data from an external computer so as to select the facsimile mode automatically. SOLUTION: A facsimile section 1 uses a serial interface 302 for a printer section 2 to confirm whether or not print data from an external computer are in existence in the printer section 2. When confirmed, a centronics interface signal of the facsimile section 1 is set busy to tentatively stop the transfer of the print data from the external computer and a printer section connection switch 108 is thrown to the position of the facsimile section 1. Furthermore, in order to indicate the release of the printer mode for the user, a printer mode LED of a display section 106 goes off. Then whether or not the memory substitute reception is made during the printer mode is discriminated and when it is made, a received image is outputted and the mode transits to the standby state of the facsimile mode.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To attain memory substitute reception or to prevent non-reception by providing a means selecting the facsimile mode through remote control from a remote location to the facsimile equipment whose printer mode is left unswitched. CONSTITUTION: When the user at a remote location desires to use a printer connection switch 108 to connect a facsimile section 1 and a printer section 2, the user sends a facsimile mode transfer command. The facsimile equipment uses a DTMF receiver or the like to receive the arrived remote command, and a facsimile MPU 101 encodes the remote command. Then the coded remote command is compared with a facsimile mode transfer command specified in advance, and when they are coincident, the facsimile mode is transited. Then a tone signal transmitter is used to send a pseudo voice signal or a tone signal in order to inform the transition to the facsimile mode to the user at a remote location being a caller.
