    Abstract: PURPOSE:To constitute the system optimum to the application purpose and the operating environment by providing a means setting support/non-support of a key used to set a control state of a controller and a controlled device to the system. CONSTITUTION:Print processing 1305 of a picture from a computer is available by a start command in the on-line state and in the remote 1301 mode, and copy processing 1306 is available by a copy start key in the off-line state and in the local mode 1304. A test print 1307 is attained from a panel of a controller in the off-line and in the remote mode 1303. Each state above is transited through the depression of an on-line key of the controller and of a remote key of a copying machine. In order to implement a desired operation, the operator understands the complicated state transition and operates the on-line key or the remote key to make print or copying.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor image having no possibility of deterioration in image quality even with the occurrence of misregistration or the like in each color image forming by a method wherein with respect to either the first or last color in printing, an image is formed at a screen angle different from that of another color. CONSTITUTION:A multicolor image signal A is converted to an analog signal (a) through a D/A converter 501 for every color content. On the other hand, a reference signal (b) determined for every color content is generated in a pulse pattern generator 502 and inputted to a delay line 506 to be delayed. At every counting action of a counter 505, a delay pattern is sequentially selected by a selector 507 in accordance with a delay pattern written in a pattern generator 504 to be outputted as a reference signal C. The analog signal (a) is compared with the reference signal (c) by a comparator 508 to be outputted as a PWM signal (d). The signal (d) is amplified by an amplifier 509 to be outputted as a processing signal B. By setting the screen angle of the first or last color different from that of another color, the misregistration, shade, and variation of color can be suppressed, and an image quality is constantly stabilized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for prescanning by stopping prescanning the instant an original is decided as being colored when scanning is performed to decide whether the original is black/white or colored. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the original A is placed on an original platen glass and has a color area B at the top in that state. For instance, when color information is judged to be in a sub-operating position DP of the original A, decision scanning is stopped to take a full-color copy. Whereas no color information is detected even by scanning the trailing edge YE of the original, the original is judged to be black/white to take a monochromic black copy. In such a way, prescanning is stopped the instant that the original A is colored, and instantaneously a color copy is taken, thereby shortening the time required for prescanning.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operability of the title original scanning device by detecting the placed state of an original on an original placing glass plate and starting original scanning operations in accordance with the detecting output. CONSTITUTION:When a start key is turned on, scanning operations are performed to detect the place and size of the original placed on the original placing glass plate and, when an original exists on the glass plate, the flag retrying frequency on a RAM 406 is cleared to zero and original reading and copying operations are repeated until a stop key is turned on or a set number of sheets is completed. When copying operations are completed for a set number of sheets, an intermittent timer 407 for counting the time required for exchanging originals previously decided by an operator is started. When the original exchanging work of the operator is completed within a previously set time, the original is detected and copying operations of the set number sheets are automatically commenced.
