    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a massage cosmetic which is excellent in preservation stability even in formulating high concentrations of inorganic salts, oil bases and polyols and fine in extensibility when applied and also in the feeling on use. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by formulating a polysaccharide derivative which a part or all of hydrogen atoms of hydroxyl groups in polysaccarides or their derivatives are substituted with (A) sulfoalkyl groups which may substitute the hydroxyl groups and have carbon numbers of 1-5 or their salts [substituent group (A)] and an average substitution degree per constructive monosaccharide residue due to the substitutent group (A) is 0.01-2.0 or a polysaccaride derivative in which unsubstituted hydroxyl groups may further be crosslinked with polyol polyglycidyl ethers (here, the polyol polyglycidyl ether may be substituted with the substituent (A) on the hydroxyl groups).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject new compound, having low irritancy to the skin or hair, good in tough thereon, excellent in foaming power and emulsification stability and useful for various detergents, emulsifying agents, conditioning agents, etc. CONSTITUTION: A multichain type amine derivative of formula I [R is a (hydroxyl-substituted)straight-chain or branched chain 1-24C alkyl or alkenyl; R is a (hydroxyl-substituted)straight-chain or branched chain 1-4C alkyl or alkenyl; X is a halogen], e.g. tris(2-hydroxy-4,4-dimethyl-4-azoniadodecyl)amine chloride. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting an amine derivative of formula II with one or two or more halogenated hydrocarbons having different R groups of the formula R -X. Furthermore, the reaction is preferably carried out by reacting the compound of formula II with the halogenated hydrocarbon in an equiv. amount of 2-10 times based on three amino groups in the compound of formula II in the presence of, e.g. an inert solvent at 20-150 deg.C, preferably 60-120 deg.C.
