Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover refrigerant in a refrigerant recovery tank in a refrigerant recovery mode by an automatic operation by providing the tank in an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: A refrigerant tank Tnk is installed in a refrigerant tube in an outdoor unit A between an outdoor expansion valve Exp1 and an indoor expansion valve Exp2 via first two-way valve V1 and second two-way valve V2 in the heat pump type air conditioner, and suction pressure detecting means Prs for detecting the refrigerant pressure p1 of the suction side of a compressor 1 is installed. A refrigerant recovery controller cnt1 having a refrigerant recovery mode for closing the valve V2 and setting the outdoor blower 4 to the maximum mode and the indoor blower 8 to the maximum mode after the cooling operation is executed for a predetermined time τ and closing the valve V1 and stopping the compressor 1 when the suction pressure p1 becomes a predetermined pressure p0 or lower, and a refrigerant recovery operating unit Rmt are provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the decrease in the operating efficiency of an air conditioner by preventing the defrosting of a hot-line tube existing in an outdoor side heat exchanger and coupling at both the ends to an outdoor expansion valve and an indoor side heat exchanger at the time of heating. SOLUTION: The air conditioner comprises an indoor expansion valve Exp2 installed in an outdoor unit B', a hot-line tube temperature detector Th1 existing in an outdoor heat exchanger 3 and detecting the tube temperature of a hot-line tube 9 coupled at both the ends to an outdoor expansion valve Exp1 and the vale Exp2, and an indoor expansion valve controller CNT for so controlling the opening of the valve Exp2 that the tube 9 falls within a predetermined temperature range at the time of heating.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To keep an amount of a refrigerant held in a refrigerant piping proper by a method wherein an outdoor expansion valve is closed by a specified opening when the dryness of the refrigerant is small while the degree of overheating the refrigerant is large and the outdoor expansion valve is opened by a specified opening when the dryness of the refrigerant is large while the degree of overheating the refrigerant is small. CONSTITUTION: An outdoor expansion valve Exp1 is closed by a specified opening by a first outdoor expansion valve controller GCnt1, when the dryness of a refrigerant on the outlet side of the outdoor expansion valve Exp1 is smaller than a specified value while the degree of overheating the refrigerant on the outlet side of a compressor 1 is larger than a specified range of the upper limit value continuously for more than a specified time length. The outdoor expansion valve Exp1 is opened by a specified opening by the first outdoor expansion valve controller GCnt1 when the dryness of the refrigerant on the outlet side of the outdoor expansion valve Exp1 is larger than the specified value while the degree of overheating the refrigerant on the outlet side of the compressor 1 is smaller than a specified range of the lower limit value continuously for more than a specified time length. This enables keeping of the amount of the refrigerant held proper during heat exchange in a refrigerating cycle thereby achieving a higher cooling operation efficiency.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an air conditioner concerning a cycle having an ice heat storage tank of a heat storage type air conditioner in which there is provided a heat storage tank having a high load following characteristic under a high raising state. CONSTITUTION:A heat storage type air conditioner comprises a primary rebrigeration cycle and a secondary refrigeration cycle through a first heat storage tank STR1. A second heat storage tank STR2 having a primary heat transfer pipe P1 and a check valve GV is connected in parallel with a primary heat exchanging part 13a of the first heat storage tank STR1, and a refrigerant tank TNK is buried in the second heat storage tank STR2. With such an arrangement, supplying of liquid refrigerant to the refrigerant transporting pump PM during a starting of cooling operation is carried out rapidly and not only a raising performance of cooling operation can be improved, but also a reliability in operation of the refrigerant transporting pump PM can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain reduction of the capacity of air-conditioning equipment and leveling of power use by enabling mutual transfer of heat between air conditioning units of different systems and also by converting a surplus power energy in the night or the like into the heat to be stored, in air-conditioning installation equipped with the air conditioning units in a plurality of systems each of which has a plurality of indoor machines. CONSTITUTION:Air conditioning units I and II have refrigerating cycles A and B each constructed by connecting an outdoor machine l and indoor machines 6a to 6c circularly, respectively. These two units I and II communicate with each other so that heat can be transferred between them, through the intermediary of a heat exchange circuit C equipped with expansion valves EV1 for a refrigerant heat exchanger and the refrigerant heat exchanger HE being common to the air conditioning units I and II and a heat storage circuit D equipped with expansion valves EV2 for a heat storage tank and the heat storage tank STR being common to the air conditioning units I and II. The heat storage circuit D converts a surplus power energy in the night or the like into the heat and stores it, taking out the heat energy in the day and using it for an air-conditioning operation. Thereby reduction of the capacity of air-conditioning equipment is attained.

Primary side heat exchangers each having a primary side heat transfer tube P1 and fins F in the reservoir STR and secondary side heat exchangers each having a secondary side heat transfer tube P2 and fins F are alternately arranged, a fin pitch is reduced at a central part of the tubes P1, and increased at both ends.
