Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in strength characteristics, abrasion resistance and braking performance on wet road and small in rolling resistance by blending a specific higher (alpha-olefin based copolymer rubber with a diene based rubber at a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by blending (A) a higher alpha-olefin based copolymer rubber consisting of (i) a 620C alpha-olefin (preferably hexene-1, octene-1 or decene-1), (ii) an alpha,omega-diene of formula I [(n) is 1-3; R and R are H or 1-8C alkyl) (e.g. 1,4-pentadiene) and (iii) a conjugated diene of formula II [(n) is 1-5; R is 1-4C alkyl; R and R are R , with the proviso that R and R are not simultaneously H] (e.g. 4-methyl-1,4-hexadiene) with (B) a diene based rubber (preferably natural rubber or isoprene rubber) so that the weight ratio of the component A/the component B may be (1/99) to (50/50).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the title molding excellent in resistances to thermal aging and dynamic fatigue by molding and vulcanizing a specific higher alpha-olefin copolymer rubber obtd. from a higher alpha-olefin, an alpha,omega-diene, and a nonconjugated diene. CONSTITUTION:A 6-20C higher alpha-olefin (e.g. hexene-1)(A), an alpha,omega-diene (B) of formula I (wherein n is 1-3; and R and R are each H or 1-8C alkyl)(e.g. 1,4-hexadiene) and a nonconjugated diene (C) of formula II (wherein n is 1-5; R is 1-4C alkyl; and R and R are each H or 1-8C alkyl provided that they are not simultaneously H)(e.g. 4-methyl-1,4-hexadiene) are copolymerized in a wt. ratio of monomer A to monomer B of (95:5)-(50:50) and in a molar ratio of monomer C to the sum of the three monomers of 0.01-30%, giving a higher alpha-olefin copolymer rubber having an intrinsic viscosity at 135 deg.C in decalin of 1-10 dl/g. The rubber is molded and vulcanized to give the title molding.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the title compsn. excellent in strengths, heat resistance, weatherability, vibration-damping properties, etc., by mixing a specific higher alpha-olefin copolymer with an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer in a specified wt. ratio. CONSTITUTION:A higher %a-olefin copolymer is produced by copolymerizing a 6-20C higher alpha-olefin (e.g. octene-1), an alpha,omega-diene of formula I (wherein n is 1-3; and R and R are each H or 1-8C alkyl)(e.g. 1,4-hexadiene).and a nonconjugated diene of formula II (wherein n is 1-5; R is 1-4C alkyl; and R and R are each l H or 1-8C alkyl provided that they are not simultaneously H)(e.g. 4-methyl-1,4-hexadiene). The title compsn., suitable as a vibration-damping rubber, is prepd. by mixing the copolymer with an ethylene/3-6C alpha-olefin copolymer in a wt. ratio of (5:95)-(95:5).

CONSTITUTION:A higher alpha-olefin copolymer is produced by copolymerizing a 6-20C higher alpha-olefin (e.g. tetradecene-1), an alpha,omega-diene of formula I (wherein n is 1-3; and R and R are each H or 1-8C alkyl)(e.g. 1,4-hexadiene), and a nonconjugated diene of formula II (wherein n is 1-5; R is 1-4C alkyl; and R and R are each H or 1-8C alkyl provided that they are not simultaneously H) (e.g. 4-methyl-1, 4-hexadiene). The title compsn. is prepd. by mixing the copolymer with a diene rubber in a wt. ratio of (5:95)-(95:5).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyamide resin composition excellent in toughness, especially tensile elongation and impact strength by polycondensing a specific low- order condensate in a molten state in the presence of poly epsilon-caprolactam while applying shearing stress thereto. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition is obtained by heating (A) 60-100mol% recurring units composed of terephthalic acid component units and diamine component units having a 4-25C alkylene group such as 1,6- diaminohexane and (B) 0-40mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid component units other than the terephthalic acid and diamine component units having the 4-25C alkylene group in the presence of water under pressurizing conditions, providing a low-order condensate, then heating the resultant low-order condensate in a molten state and further carrying out polycondensing reaction in the presence of a poly epsilon-caprolactam such as nylon 6 while applying shearing force thereto.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a polyamide useful for clothes, industrial fibers, etc., and having a stable quality by melt-polymerizing an oligomer prepared by the polymerization of a specific dicarboxylic acid with hexamethylenediamine in the presence of a wax. CONSTITUTION:For example, dicarboxylic acids containing terephthalic acid and a 4-12C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (preferably cinnamic acid) are polymerized with hexamethylenediamine in the presence of a stabilizer (preferably potassium phosphite) in water preferably in nitrogen atmosphere under heated and pressurized conditions to prepare an oligomer having an intrinsic viscosity of preferably 0.1-0.2dl/g. The prepared oligomer is mixed with a wax (preferably polyethylene wax) and melt-polymerized to provide the objective polyamide having a large 6T unit content.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a polyamide resin composition having a wide molding temperature range, low water absorption degree, excellent heat-resistant rigidity, mechanical strength, etc., by compounding an aromatic polyamide comprising specific component units with a specified fibrous filler in a specific amount. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of an aromatic polyamide having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-3dl/g and comprising A1: dicarboxylic acid with comprising 30-60mol% of terephthalic acid, 40-70mol% of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid (preferably 4-12C aliphatic dicarboxylic acid) and, if necessary, 0-30mol% of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid excluding terephthalic acid (A2): an aliphatic and/or an alicyclic alkylene diamine, preferably a 6-18C straight chains aliphatic alkylenediamine units, and (B) 0.5-200 pts.wt. of a fibrous filler having an average length of 0.1-20mn and selected from wholly aromatic polyamide fiber, glass fiber, carbon fiber, boron fiber, alumina fiber and metal fiber.
