Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title adsorbent whose high adsorption performance is stabilized for a long period and having resistance to chemicals and heat and excellent durability by allowing the surface of a fibrous sheet to retain >=0.2eV electric charge as the activation energy of the polarization charge. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous sheet is formed by using a raw material having >=10 OMEGAcm resistivity, and the inside of the sheet is allowed to retain >=7X10 c/cm electric charge as the polarization charge. The polarization charge constituting the electric charge has at least 0.2eV activation energy. A fibrous sheet 10 is placed on a water electrode 11, and a high voltage DC current is impressed thereon by using an acicular electrode 12 to form the electric charge. When the distance between both electrodes is 3cm, at least 10kV and >=0.1sec time of impression are preferable. The diameter of the fiber of the sheet is preferably regulated to , and the apparent density is preferably adjusted to >=0.05g/cm .

Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase an electric effect to an external field and to obtain electric absorption effect for dusts, fine particles, bacteria, etc., by increasing a difference of surface charge densities of front and rear surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Cloth 6 supplied by a feed roll 5 is so supplied that its one side surface is brought into contact with semiconductor liquid of a surface wetted with a liquid-containing material 4 fed by turn rolls 7, 8, and subjected to an electret processing by a needlelike electrode 10 mounted in a space through a high voltage generator 9. In this case, adhesive properties of a material to be subjected to the electret processing with a ground electrode made of the liquid-containing material are improved to sufficiently inject charge, and a difference of surface charge densities of front and rear surfaces is set to 4X10 -9X10 coulomb/cm . Thus, it can be made excellent as a dust-proof cap material.
