    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably producing a nonwoven fabric with slight decline in electrification of electrified fibers due to contact and in uniformity due to adherence to a collision plate, and to provide a production unit for the nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: This method for producing a nonwoven fabric is characteristic in that, when the nonwoven fabric is to be produced using electrification opening technique, a semiconductor having a volume resistivity of 1×10 Ω.cm to 1×10 Ω.cm is used as at least part of fiber contact members involved in the whole process from the electrification opening step through the collection of fibers onto a net conveyor 10. The other objective production unit for the nonwoven fabric has an ejector 2 for high-speed suction of fibers, an electrification section 5 for forcedly electrifying fibers, and a collision plate 8 for altering the jet direction of electrified fiber stream between the electrification section 5 and the net conveyor 10; wherein at least the collision plate 8 is made of a semiconductor having a volume resistivity of 1×10 Ω.cm to 1×10 Ω.cm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an antibacterial electret material which possesses both an antibacterial characteristic and the characteristic of an electret, and is also stabilized in electric charge. CONSTITUTION:An antibacterial electret material consists of a synthetic organic polymer having a volume resistivity of 10 OMEGA.cm or more. This synthetic organic polymer contains a heat stabilizer ranging from 0.01%-2% and inorganic matter, containing metal ions, in a range from 0.1% to 4% as an antibacterial agent, and also gas a surface charge density of 1X10 Coulomb/cm or more.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject sheet easily and inexpensively by producing a fiber-interlaced sheet high in quality by temporarily coloring a fiber sheet made of multi-component-based fiber of a plurality of macromolecular substances different in solubility and by colliding it with a high-speed flowing fluid, followed by desorbing part of the temporarily colored component. CONSTITUTION: The objective sheet is obtained by conducting a multi-component fiber spinning by using e.g. polyethylene terephthalate as an island component and e.g. polystyrene copolymerized with 2-ethylhexyl acrylate as a sea component; thus preparing the multi-component-based fiber comprising >=2 kinds of macromolecular substances different in solubility in solvent; needle-punching the web formed of the multi-component-based fiber for obtaining the fiber sheet; immersing it into a water solution containing the temporarily colored component for temporary coloring; colliding a high-speed flowing liquid of e.g. water jetted from a jet nozzle with the sheet for interlacing thereof together with decoloring the sheet by removing at least part of the temporarily colored component via water flow.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a nonwoven fabric that has edges with reduced bulkiness, given an easy-to-handle wound roll having film side faces hardly causing telescoping by compressing the edge portion after slitting off the selvages and wind the fabric into the roll. SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric is obtained by slitting the selvages, by compressing the edges of the nonwoven fabric e.g. with calender rolls and by winding it. The amount of the compression preferably is >=50% original thickness, and the nonwoven fabric has a thickness of >=0.5 mm (preferably >=1.0 mm) and a basis weight of >=50 g/m2 (preferably >=100 g/m2), is a needle punched nonwoven fabric and preferably is made of polyethylene terephthalate fibers.

In the above process, an assistant moving collection member 6 is oppositely placed at the downstream position adjacent to the fiber blowing part A on the moving collection face 4 and the fiber collected by the assistant moving collection member 6 is transferred to the surface of the melt-blow nonwoven fabric S.
