Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original plate for a negative direct lithographic printing plate having good image reproducibility. SOLUTION: The original plate for the direct lithographic printing plate comprises at least a heat sensitive layer and an ink repellent layer sequentially provided in this order on a base plate. In this case, the original plate can be platemade by irradiating a part of the repellent layer with a laser beam and removing the part irradiated with the laser beam in a developer liquid. A weight reducing rate of at least both the heat sensitive layer and the repellent layer in which the base plate treated in the developer liquid at 40 deg.C for 10 min is removed is 1 to 10%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative type direct drawing original plate of a planographic printing plate having good image reproducibility and suitability to printing-out. SOLUTION: The direct drawing original plate has at least a heat sensitive layer, an ink-repellent layer and a protective film in this order on an aluminum substrate. When the original plate is irradiated with laser light and the ink- repellent layer in the irradiated part is removed, the objective printing plate is produced. The original plate further has a layer that changes its color when irradiated with the laser light on the surface of the protective film.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the direct pattern forming waterless planographic printing plate, having at least a thermosensitive layer and an ink repellent layer in the this order on the substrate includes a 1st process, in which an original plate is irradiated with a laser beam in terms of image, a 2nd process in which the original plate is processed with a processing solution containing a specified glycol compound and/or a specified glycol ether compound or a processing solution containing 0.1-30 wt.% amine compounds, based on the total amount of the processing solution and a 3rd process in which the ink-repellent layer in the irradiated part is removed. At least part of the thermosensitive layer remains, even after the 3rd process.

The coercive force of the magnetic toner particles at 7.9×105 A/m is >=400 A/m and the saturation magnetization is >=5 Am2/kg. The coverage of the carrier particles with the toner particles represented by expression 1 is 25-60% before and during printing.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for intricate stages like replacing of a developer by installing a spare tank to a preprocessing liquid tank. SOLUTION: The spare tank 188 is filled with a preprocessing liquid 8 at >=90% of its volume and is connected to a preprocessing liquid circulating line by a bypass pipe 189 which can be switched by valves 185 and 187. When the temperature of the preprocessing liquid 8 is desired to be lowered, a valve 186 is closed and the valves 185 and 187 are opened, by which the flow of the preprocessing liquid 8 is eventually passed through the spare tank 188 and therefore the preprocessing liquid is rapidly cooled. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative directly drawing type waterless lithographic printing plate, which is excellent in image-reproducibility while favorably reserving the ink mileage by adding a wax in a heat-sensitive layer of the directly drawing type lithographic printing plate having at least the heat-sensitive layer and an ink-repelling layer in this order on a base plate. SOLUTION: This directly drawing type lithographic printing plate has at least a heat-sensitive layer and an ink-repelling layer in this order on a base plate, and a wax is added in the heat-sensitive layer. In this case, as the wax, a petroleum wax is preferably used, and especially, a paraffin wax and a microklystan wax are preferably used. Also, the melting point of the wax is preferably set at 60 to 100 deg.C. In addition, at least a compound, which can be decomposed by the action of a laser irradiation, or a thermosetting compound is preferably contained in the heat-sensitive layer. Then, as the ink-repelling layer, a silicone rubber layer is preferably used. By this constitution, the image- reproducibility is easily improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative directly drawing type waterless lithographic printing plate, which is excellent in plate wear and image-reproducibility while favorably reserving the ink mileage by laminating at least a heat-sensitive layer and an ink-repelling layer in this order, on an aluminum base plate having a boehmite film on the surface. SOLUTION: On an aluminum base plate having a boehmite film on the surface, at least a heat-sensitive layer and an ink-repelling layer are laminated in this order, and thus, this directly drawing type waterless lithographic printing plate is formed. By this constitution, the adhesion between the aluminum base plate and the heat-sensitive layer is made stronger, and the breaking of the adhered section accompanying the repetition of printings is suppressed. In this case, the aluminum base plate having the boehmite film on the surface is obtained by dipping in a weak alkaline treating bath, to which amine or the like is added, in a specified temperature range. Also, a compound, which can be decomposed by the action of a laser irradiation, or a thermosetting compound is preferably contained in the heat-sensitive layer. In addition, a silicone rubber layer is preferably used for the ink-repelling layer.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a negative direct writing-type waterless lithographic printing plate excellent in plate durability and image reproducibility with an ink mileage kept good by anode-oxidizing the surface of an aluminum substrate in an original plate of a direct writing-type lithographic printing plate in which a thermosensible layer and an ink repelling layer are formed on the aluminum substrate. SOLUTION: In the original plate of a direct writing-type lithographic printing plate in which at least a thermosensible layer and an ink repelling layer are formed in this order on an aluminum substrate, the surface of the substrate is anode-oxidized. In order to abode-oxidize the surface of the substrate, a high voltage is applied to an original plate in an electrolyte solution. A compound which is decomposed by being irradiated with laser beams or a thermosetting compound is preferably added into the thermosensible layer. A silicone rubber layer is preferable as the ink repelling layer. As the silicon rubber layer, either an addition polymerization type or a condensation polymerization type can be used. In this way, a negative direct writing-type lithographic printing plate excellent in plate durability and image reproducibility is obtained.
