Abstract:
A method for production optimization in an oil and/or a gas production system. The system including at least two flow sources leading to at least one common downstream flow line, and at least one manipulated variable of the production system. The method includes use of a computational model of the production system including an interdependence between flow rates of the flow sources and a flow rate of the downstream flow line, and values of the manipulated variable; a feasible set defined by at least one constraint of the manipulated variable, and an objective function, to be optimized within said feasible set, defined by using the computational model. The method includes splitting by calculation the feasible set into at least two subsets, calculating, for each of the subsets, a best bound of the objective function by using the computational model, and manipulating the manipulated variable by using the best bound to optimize the oil and/or gas production.
Abstract:
A painting system having a painting robot with a stationary base mounted to a wall of a paint booth in cantilever fashion. A stand is mounted to the stationary base and is rotatable around a first axis that is disposed substantially horizontal. A first arm is rotatably mounted to the stand around a second axis, and a second arm is rotatably mounted to the first arm around a third axis. The second arm is operable to rotate around the third axis 180 degrees relative to the first arm. An end effector is connected between the second arm and a painting tool. The end effector is operable to orient the painting tool.
Abstract:
A method in an industrial safety system for controlling a process or equipment, which industrial safety system includes components with safety devices. The safety system enables signals to be generated as a result of an event or alarm, where the method includes creating an automated link between the event or alarm and an effect or an action to be taken upon receipt of the event or alarm signal due to the event. The method includes configuring one or more links between the event and the input, thus forming a cause and effect matrix, and also generating a control code using the cause and effect matrix for subsequent download of the control code to at least one process controller whereby a control signal is subsequently generated by at least one safety controller to initiate the action or effect.
Abstract:
A method in an industrial safety system for controlling a process or equipment. An industrial safety system comprises components with safety devices wherein the safety system enables signals to be generated as a result of an event or alarm. The method and system uses a cause and effect matrix with automated links between each event or alarm and an effect or an action to be taken upon receipt of the event or alarm signal due to the event. In an online view of the improved cause and effect matrix, at least one effect cell of the cause and effect matrix is arranged with a first executable link for a device represented by the at least one effect cell.
Abstract:
A method for monitoring at least one subsea electric machine supplied by a system for electric power transmission. The system has a power supply, a controller and an AC power line connecting the at least one machine with the power supply. The method includes the steps of: receiving at the controller, high speed data from at least one subsea sensor arranged between the subsea side of the AC power line and the at least one subsea electric machine, wherein the high speed data includes measurements of an electrical parameter for the at least one machine; and comparing the one or more measurements to a predetermined value. A system for electric power transmission arranged for operating at least one subsea load or electric machine is also described.
Abstract:
A dosing device for a program controlled spray painting apparatus adapted for dosing electrically conductive fluid materials to a spray gun/applicator. The spray gun may be charged at a high voltage for electrostatically charged atomizing of electrically conductive fluid materials. A coating system includes the dosing device, which is moved by an actuator between a connecting member for a paint filling line or a cleaning fluid supply line, and a spray gun. A method and a computer program for carrying out the method.
Abstract:
Method in an oil and/or a gas production system including a plurality of oil and/or gas wells each producing a multiphase fluid stream, adapted for predicting change in produced fluids resulting from change in manipulated variables. Fitted model parameters which express the relationship between the change in manipulated variables and the produced fluids are determined from a set of historical production measurements. The method includes the steps of choosing a model structure which predicts change in produced fluids as a function of the change in manipulated variables, where the predicted change in produced fluids depends on the value of fitted model parameters, determining fitted model parameters so that predictions of produced fluids match said historical production measurements as closely as possible, and determining a quality tag that describes the uncertainty of the predictions of change in produced fluids.
Abstract:
A method to revalidate a compiler intended for compilation of a user-written program for safety control in an industrial control system after it has been used. A test program is compiled a first time which test program is defined in a control language. The compiler is validated by verifying that the test program executes correctly. A first software is generated derived from the compiled test program intended for later comparison purposes. The test program is compiled a second time after the compilation of a user-written program. A second software is generated intended for a comparison based on the second compilation of the test program. The first software is compared with the second software, wherein the compiler is revalidated for any errors introduced between the first and the second compilation. Provided that the revalidation indicates no errors in the compiler, the user-written program is enabled to execute in a device with safety features for control of real world entities.
