Abstract:
A light emitting module and massage device provide vaginal rejuvenation. The device exposes collagen in the vaginal area or mucosa to temperatures elevated over normal body temperature to cause the collagen to reversibly or irreversibly denature while simultaneously applying vibration. Once thermally-induced collagen denaturation has occurred, both neoelastogenesis and neocollagenesis may occur and may be initiated with fibroblast proliferation, which may be promoted with vibration. Neofibrogenesis also occurs due to the fibroblastic activity, responsible for secretion of new collagen matrix to effect tissue repair. Thus, the device exploits thermally-induced collagen denaturation and repair along with simultaneous vibration to improve tissue tone, connective tissue tension and bulk tissue regeneration.
Abstract:
A method, system and device for enhancing muscle training and performance by accelerating blood flow to the muscles and enhancing flow in the lymphatic system, incorporating mechanical stimulation and in some cases electrical stimulation of the muscle. A muscle recovery apparatus includes: an active compression device and an electrical stimulation device, where the active compression device is configured to be disposed about a user's muscle and to mechanically compress the user's muscle to facilitate muscle recovery, and where the electrical stimulation device is coupled to an inner surface of the active compression device, such that the electrical stimulation device can be placed in contact with the user to electrically stimulate the user's muscle.
Abstract:
A massage device is disclosed. The massage device comprises a hot and cold compress member, a circulating water tank, a heat conducting member, a water bag, a first circulating pump, a first circulating pipe, a fastening plate, a control body, and a second circulating pipe. It may prevent from rustiness or leakage and unstable structure, and further achieve the effect of quick heat dissipation.
Abstract:
A system for decreasing the blood flow of a targeted organ in case of bleeding or a medical requirement includes an integrated electrostimulator and a subsystem.
Abstract:
A sequential compression and temperature therapy blanket with a plurality of air chambers is disclosed. The air chambers are filled and released by a valve assembly that may be separate from or integrated within the blanket. The temperature therapy blanket includes a fluid bladder for delivering hot and/or cold therapy to a patient. The temperature therapy blanket may also include an air bladder for providing compression.
Abstract:
We disclose methods and medical device systems for selectively recruiting a nerve fiber type within a cranial nerve, a peripheral nerve or a spinal root. Such a method may comprise applying a first pressure, a heating, and/or a cooling to a second location of the nerve, the pressure, heating, or cooling sufficient to substantially block at least one of activation or conduction in at least one fiber population through the second location of the nerve for a blocking time period; and applying an electrical signal to a first location during the blocking time period.
Abstract:
A device for treating nasal congestion and/or relieving sinusitis symptoms in a patient comprises: means for generating vibrations, attaching means configured attach said generating means to a location adjacent to the patient's nasal cavity, nasal passageway or sinuses and means for generating a fluid stream and delivering the fluid stream to the respiratory tract of said patient. The vibration generating means further comprises a motor, an eccentric member rotatable by said motor and an impact member mechanically linked to the eccentric member such that the impact member is vibratable by the eccentric member.
Abstract:
A device (1) for delivering mist to the human face is capable of targeting different kinds of mist to different zones of the human face. To this end, the device (1) comprises different nozzle sets, wherein each of the different nozzle sets serves for letting out a different kind of mist, and wherein each of the different nozzle sets is positioned in a zone (7, 10) of the device (1) corresponding to a zone of the human face to be treated by means of the mist delivered by the nozzle set concerned during operation of the device (1). By having an appropriate number and positioning of the nozzles (2, 3, 4, 5), facial zones can be treated separately, wherein it is possible to realize optimal skin treatment per facial zone.
Abstract:
A system and method of monitoring, controlling and/or detecting events during the removal of heat from subcutaneous lipid-rich tissue is described. In some examples, the system detects an increase in temperature at a treatment device in contact with the skin of a subject, determines that the increase in temperature is related to a treatment event, and performs an action based on the determination. In some examples, the system shuts off the treatment device, alerts an operator, or reduces the cooling in response to a determined treatment event.
Abstract:
Apparatus for automatic delivery of chest compressions and ventilation to a patient, the apparatus including: a chest compressing device configured to deliver compression phases during which pressure is applied to compress the chest and decompression phases during which approximately zero pressure is applied to the chest a ventilator configured to deliver positive, negative, or approximately zero pressure to the airway; control circuitry and processor, wherein the circuitry and processor are configured to cause the chest compressing device to repeatedly deliver a set containing a plurality of systolic flow cycles, each systolic flow cycle comprising a systolic decompression phase and a systolic compression phase, and at least one diastolic flow cycle interspersed between sets of systolic flow cycles, each diastolic flow cycle comprising a diastolic decompression phase and a diastolic compression phase, wherein the diastolic decompression phase is substantially longer than the systolic decompression phase.
