Abstract:
A sequential compression device for delivering pressurized air to a multi-compartment inflatable sleeve on a patient's limb. The device includes a pump, a plurality of cam actuated valves and a plurality of conduits in communication with said valves, all disposed within an accumulator, which comprises the housing for the device as well.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an extremity-supporting device for supporting the movement of an extremity of a user, in which the degree of support offered by a passive actuator can be adjusted by means of an active actuator.
Abstract:
An artificial knee is configured to be worn by a person. Artificial knees include a thigh link configured to move in unison with a thigh of the person, and a shank link configured to be coupled to the thigh link. Artificial knees include a compression spring coupled to the thigh link at a first end of the compression spring, the compression spring configured to be coupled to the shank link at a second end of the compression spring. The compression spring is configured to provide an extension torque between the thigh link and the shank link during a first range of motion of the thigh link and the shank link relative to each other. The compression spring is configured to provide a flexion torque between the thigh link and the shank link during a second range of motion of the thigh link and the shank link relative to each other.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer program products for provisioning a temporary disposable number are described. A user can be provided with a pool of available temporary disposable numbers that have a limited shelf life. The user can select one of the available temporary disposable numbers while submitting a permanent phone number associated with a communications device (e.g., mobile phone, home phone, business phone, etc.). Prior to activating the selected temporary disposable number, the temporary disposable number is linked to the permanent phone number. After activation, when an incoming call to the temporary disposable number is received, the permanent phone number is identified to be associated with the temporary disposable number being called. The incoming call is then forwarded to the communications device on which the permanent phone number is established.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a wetness controlling system for intelligent vibrator and an intelligent vibrator capable of controlling wetness. The wetness controlling system for intelligent vibrator includes an intelligent vibrator, an intelligent terminal for controlling a degree of wetness of the surface of the intelligent vibrator. The intelligent vibrator wirelessly communicates with the intelligent terminal. The intelligent terminal generates a first controlling demand for controlling the wetness controlling unit to adjust the degree wetness of the intelligent vibrator according to the degree of wetness detected by the wetness sensor, thereby allowing users to select a pleasant degree of wetness according to need for better user experience while providing a better user interface.
Abstract:
A core muscle group training equipment includes a seat, a backrest located on the back side of the seat and a damping mechanism provided at the bottom side of the seat. When sitting on the seat and resting the back on the backrest, the user can selectively bend the upper body forwards and backwards to contract the proximal muscles, or keep the upper body immovable and move the lower body up and down to contract distal muscles. By means of biasing of the seat and the damping effect provided by the damping mechanism during operation, the muscle strength of the abdominal muscles is trained. When releasing the pressure, the damping mechanism returns the machine parts smoothly, preventing accidental injury.
Abstract:
Rod-shaped massaging appliance with an essentially cylindrical end piece, with a wall or shell made of a rubber-elastic material forming the outer surface of the end piece and with a drive unit for generating movement on the end piece.
Abstract:
A low-cost, light weight portable lumbar fraction device for home use by a patient including a support structure having a longitudinal axis and a carriage slidable along a portion of the support structure parallel to the longitudinal axis. The carriage includes a restraining mechanism adapted to releasably restrain a portion of a patient's body to the carriage. The pneumatic fraction force generating apparatus includes at least one pneumatic chamber and at least one air inlet. The pneumatic traction force generating apparatus is operatively coupled to both the carriage and the support structure to move the carriage relative to the support structure when the at least one pneumatic chamber is in a pressurized state. The pneumatic fraction force generating apparatus is adapted to maintain a generally static fraction force for a period in excess of 10 minutes when in the pressurized state without additional pressurized air being supplied. A hand pump operated by the patient is fluidly connected to the at least one pneumatic chamber for injecting pressurized air into the at least one pneumatic chamber. The hand pump is capable of injecting at least 138 kPa (20 psi) of pressure into the pneumatic chamber. A pressure relief mechanism operated by the patient is adapted to release pressure from the at least one pneumatic chamber.
