    Abstract: Provided are a seamless bent pipe constituted by a bent section and straight pipe sections on both ends of the bent section, with the inside diameter at each pipe end portion being larger than the inside diameter of the bent section, and a welded component comprising a seamless bent pipe and a seamless straight pipe at one or each end of the seamless bent pipe, with the end of the seamless straight pipe to be welded to one or each end of the seamless bent pipe having the same inside diameter as the inside diameter of the seamless bent pipe, as well as methods of manufacturing them. As a result, elements suited for use in pipelines can be obtained, without unnecessarily increasing the wall thickness of the seamless bent pipe and without internal machining of the pipe end portions of the seamless bent pipe after the manufacturing thereof.

    Abstract: A residual stress improving apparatus for piping, which can heat an outer peripheral surface of piping to reduce (including eliminate) the residual stress of the piping, whose apparatus configuration is relatively compact, and which can also heat the outer peripheral surface of a bending pipe portion, is provided. For this purpose, the apparatus has a laser head portion 6, and circumferential direction moving means composed of a ring rail 3 and a rotational travel bogie 5. Further, the apparatus may include reflection direction adjusting means for adjusting the reflection direction of laser light so that the laser light reflected by the outer peripheral surface of the piping does not return to the laser head, delivery direction adjusting means for adjusting the delivery direction of the laser light so that the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe portion located forwardly, in the pipe axis direction, of the laser head is irradiated with the laser light, pipe axis direction moving means for moving the laser headportion in the pipe axis direction, output adjusting means for adjusting the output of the laser light so that the irradiation intensity on the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe portion becomes uniform, and pivoting means capable of bringing the forward side, in the pipe axis direction, of the laser head portion close to and away from the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe portion.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for improving residual stress in piping, wherein the residual stress in the piping can be reduced (or removed) by heating the outer peripheral surface of the piping and the constitution is comparatively compacted, and the outer peripheral surface of a bending pipe part can be heated. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a laser beam head part 6 and a circular direction moving means composed of a ring rail 3 and a rotation running carriage 5. Further, it can be provided with; a reflecting direction adjusting means for adjusting the reflecting direction of the laser beam so as not to return back the laser beam reflected on the outer peripheral surface of the piping to the laser beam head; an emitting direction adjusting means for adjusting the emitting direction of the laser beam so as to emit the laser beam to the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe part positioned at the front part in the pipe axial direction from the laser beam head; a pipe axial direction moving means for moving the laser beam head part in the pipe axial direction; an output adjusting means for adjusting the output of the laser beam so as to make uniform the emitting strength on the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe part; and a rotating means for allowing the front part side in the pipe axial direction of the laser beam head part to be approached to and separated from the outer peripheral surface of the bending pipe part.     Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve product quality and to increase product length by setting a winding drum equipped with a backing part together with a rotating take-up drum and drawing a spiral pipe continuously formed from the winding drum.
    CONSTITUTION: A spiral pipe manufacturing apparatus consists of a winding device A, drawing device B, and supply device C. A band plate 30b drawn from a coil 30a of a payoff reel 19 is fixed on the take-up drum 6 and the drum 6, the winding drum 4, and the backing part 5 are rotated at a winding speed corresponding to a specified welding speed. The band plate 30b is wound on the drums 6 and 4 through rolling reduction rollers and is welded by a welder 9. The out-of-roundness of the pipe is improved by forming pipe with it's out-of- roundness being equal to that of the drum 4, and the pipe quality is improved by welding pipe with backing it at the part 5. Furthermore, the long-sized pipe is manufactured by jointing the band plate 30b one after another.
