Abstract:
According to the present invention, an elevator operation system using a camera comprises a first elevator; a camera for photographing the preset area of an elevator platform when a first call signal of the first elevator is inputted through a call button of the platform, and generating a first image from the photographed image; a detection unit for generating a nonstop signal when the shape of a person is not detected in the first image generated by the camera; a determination unit for transmitting the nonstop signal to a driving unit when the nonstop signal is transmitted from the detection unit; and the driving unit for moving the first elevator to a floor corresponding to the call button through which the first call signal is inputted by receiving the first call signal through the call button, and not stopping the first elevator at the floor corresponding to the call button when the nonstop signal is transmitted from the determination unit.
Abstract:
A method for controlling safety-relevant actions, such as resetting an actuated emergency gear (31), in a passenger transport system (PTS) (1) such as an elevator (2) is described. The PTS comprises a safety device (32) for controlling safety-relevant functions and a control device (15) for controlling normal operation functions of the PTS (1). The method comprises: generating an encrypted authentication code (EAC) by the safety device (32); transmitting the EAC to the control device (15); outputting the EAC by the control device (15); optionally: receiving the EAC and decrypting it in a portable decryption device (46) taking into account the time-dependent information for generating the decrypted authentication code and outputting the decrypted authentication code;receiving, by the control device (15), a decrypted authentication code;transmitting the decrypted authentication code to the safety device (32); comparing the decrypted authentication code with the EAC by the safety device (32); controlling the safety relevant actions only if the decrypted authentication code corresponds to the generated EAC. Therein, the EAC comprises time-dependent information which varies over time and which has to be taken into account upon generating the decrypted authentication code. The method allows verifying that a technician (40) is personally on-site at the PTS (1) and is therefore authorized to control safety-relevant actions whereas a technician being off-site e.g. at a remote control centre (16) may not authorize himself as the time-dependent information may not be suitably transmitted to remote locations due to transmission delays, compression losses, etc.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for allocating elevator calls in an elevator system (10) comprising at least one elevator (12a-12c), which elevator system (10) is controlled by an elevator control (16) comprising a destination call allocation control, wherein passenger IDs are inputted into at least one I/O-device (20) of the elevator system (10), whereafter based on the passenger ID a destination call is issued comprising the floor of the I/O-device (20) as departure floor and a preset or inputted destination floor as destination floor of the elevator call. According to the invention when a new destination call is issued, it is checked whether or not a destination call is still pending under the same passenger ID, and if a destination call of said person is still pending, either the new call or the pending call is cancelled.

Abstract:
A potential elevator passenger or occupant (bearer) carries a portable transmitting device with which he must overtly indicate his intent to take an elevator trip before interrogation by a beacon will cause an elevator call to be automatically registered for him, or indicate his intent before gaining access to a space. The intent to take a trip is cancelled when the bearer enters an elevator car, requiring an additional overt act prior to entering an automatic elevator call the next time that the bearer approaches an elevator. Default destinations (floors or spaces) may be signified for the bearer, depending on the floor where the device is located, or the bearer may establish an alternative destination, the alternative destination being cancelled from the device when the bearer enters an elevator or gains access to a space. The intent may be managed and a default destination may be provided either by the portable device or by a system in the building. Authentication of the bearer's voice may precede provision of the token. Tokens may be manifested by the presence of alternative destinations.
Abstract:
A method of managing mobile elevator call requests from a mobile device (208) is provided. The method includes: receiving an elevator call parameter from a management interface (400); receiving at least one mobile elevator call request from a mobile device (208); comparing the mobile elevator call request to the elevator call parameter; and restricting the mobile device (208) from sending additional mobile elevator call requests when the mobile elevator call request conflicts with the elevator call parameter.
Abstract:
Method for handling erroneous calls in an elevator system, which includes at least one elevator, call-giving devices for registering calls on the floor levels and/or in the elevator car, and also a control system that responds to the aforementioned calls. One or more calls given by a passenger are registered, it is assessed on the basis of at least one criterion whether some call is erroneous, and at least one corrective action is performed for removing a call, or for rectifying the call data of a call, if the call is ascertained to be erroneous on the basis of the aforementioned criterion.
