Abstract:
The object of the invention is an elevator system and a method for controlling an elevator group. The elevator system according to the invention comprises an elevator group, which comprises at least two elevator cars (1, 1'), which elevator cars are fitted to be moved in the elevator hoistway (2, 2') according to the calls allocated by the control (3) of the elevator group. The elevator system comprises a power supply arrangement (5, 5'), for adjusting the power needed to move the elevator cars (1, 1'). An energy storage (6, 6') is connected to the power supply arrangement. The energy storage is fitted in the first operating situation to yield energy for use in moving the elevator car, and in the second operating situation to receive energy released by movement of the elevator car. The elevator system comprises a determination of the charging status of the energy storage, and the control (3) of the elevator group is fitted to determine the change in energy that would be caused by the movement according to an allocated call of the elevator cars (1, 1') belonging to the elevator group. The control (3) of the elevator group is fitted to allocate a call by favoring in the allocation an elevator car (1, 1' ), the determined change in energy caused by the movement of which best meets the allocation criterion.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for using an elevator system in a building having several vertically spaced floors served by an elevator system, particularly by one or more vertically traveling elevator cars of an elevator system, said floors comprising at least a first floor, a second floor, and a plurality of intermediate floors positioned vertically between the first and second floor, the elevator system being configured to have several modes, including at least a normal operating mode and an evacuation operating mode, in which normal operating mode a car of the elevator system is used to serve a first set of floors, and in which evacuation operating mode said elevator car is used to serve a second set of floors different from said first set of floors; the method comprising evacuating passengers from the first floor to the second floor, the evacuating comprising changing the mode of the elevator system from the normal operating mode to the evacuation operating mode; and determining the second set of floors to include the first floor and an intermediate stop floor from amongst the plurality of intermediate floors or a subset thereof; and transporting a load of passengers from the first floor with said elevator car without intermediate stops to said intermediate stop floor; and repeating one or more times said transporting a load of passengers from the first floor; and after one or more of said transporting, transporting passengers from said intermediate stop floor with an elevator car to the second floor. The invention relates also to an elevator system implementing the method.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a method and an elevator system for serving passenger-specific destination calls. The elevator system comprises at least one elevator and also means for determining the acceleration data of an elevator car of the aforementioned elevator. In the method a passenger-specific destination call is registered, which destination call comprises at least information about the destination floor of a passenger. The vertical acceleration of the passenger is measured with a terminal device in the possession of the passenger. The acceleration data of each elevator car leaving a floor is compared with the acceleration data of the passenger. If there is sufficient correlation between the acceleration data of the passenger and the acceleration data of any of the aforementioned elevator cars, the elevator car in question is guided to the destination floor according to the destination call.
Abstract:
A call panel of an elevator system includes at least one touch-sensitive display. On the surface of the touch-sensitive display are embossed marks, e.g. Braille characters, and embossed lines connecting them, as well as function buttons associated with the embossed marks.
Abstract:
Method for handling erroneous calls in an elevator system, which includes at least one elevator, call-giving devices for registering calls on the floor levels and/or in the elevator car, and also a control system that responds to the aforementioned calls. One or more calls given by a passenger are registered, it is assessed on the basis of at least one criterion whether some call is erroneous, and at least one corrective action is performed for removing a call, or for rectifying the call data of a call, if the call is ascertained to be erroneous on the basis of the aforementioned criterion.
Abstract:
A conveyance system comprises at least one user interface having at least one service request pushbutton for providing service requests to the conveyance system. An identifier device is provided to a passenger. The identifier device stores identifier device data for determining a service profile of the identifier device. The identifier device data in the identifier device is read when a passenger presses or touches a service request pushbutton of the user interface. Based on the data read from the identifier device, the service profile of the identifier device is determined. A service request connected to the service request pushbutton is activated based on the service profile.
