Abstract:
A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit; a camera; a display; an ultrasound transmission unit; and a controller configured to control the wireless communication unit, the camera, the display, and the ultrasound transmission unit. The mobile terminal is configured to: transmit a first detection prepare request signal to allow a plurality of external devices located within a control area to switch to a prepare state; acquire an image including at least one of the plurality of external devices that switches to the prepare state; selectively transmit an ultrasound signal to the at least one of the plurality of external devices included in the image; receive associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices; and display a graphic image related to the associated control information from each of the at least one of the plurality of external devices.
Abstract:
An information terminal apparatus is provided which presents an operation menu according to a target apparatus just by photographing the target apparatus by a built-in camera, thereby intuitively executing operation appropriate for the target apparatus. The information terminal apparatus includes a target recognition unit which recognizes a target apparatus from an image taken by photographing the apparatus by the built-in camera, a menu management unit which presents operation menu information preserved in advance according to the target apparatus based on a recognition result obtained by the target recognition unit, and a processing unit which gives an operation instruction according to operation contents selected based on the operation menu information.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a video system wherein the nearest display apparatus is selected by detecting a distance to each of a plurality of display apparatuses and information regarding the nearest display apparatus is transmitted to another video apparatus allowing a user apparatus to select the nearest display apparatus without additional input.
Abstract:
The present subject matter relates to a wearable device (108) for contactless operation of remotely controlled appliance (102) present inside an environment (100). The wearable device (108) may include a one motion sensor (202) to generate a motion signal based on a sensed movement of a body part of the user bearing the wearable device (108). In addition, the wearable device includes a brainwave sensor (204) to generate an EEG signal indicative of brain activity of the user. Further, the wearable device (108) includes a processor (206) that may select an appliance from amongst the plurality of remotely controllable appliances based on the motion signal and the EEG signal and control the selected remotely controlled appliance (102) based on the EEG signal over a wireless network.
Abstract:
Fernbedienung für technische Geräte umfassend einen passiven RFID-Transponder, der bei einer physikalischen Berührung durch einen Benutzer einen Schaltkontakt auslöst, um Informationen auszusenden, um das technische Gerät zu steuern.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a light source (105) via a handheld computing device (110) is disclosed. The method comprises receiving an input produced by one or more sensors of the handheld computing device, the input being indicative of a current orientation of the handheld computing device. The method further comprises determining, based at least in part on the input, that the handheld computing device is in a predefined triggering orientation, e.g. in a generally horizontal orientation. In response to so determining, one or more frames of image data are acquired via an image sensor connected to the handheld computing device (110). The method further comprises obtaining an identifier of the light source, e.g. from information encoded into light emitted by the light source (105), having determined that the one or more frames of image data comprise image data representative of the light source (105). The method further comprises transmitting to the light source (105) a command indicative of a desired light setting for the light source (105), which desired light setting may for example have been provided via user input or may be a predefined setting retrieved from memory. A handheld computing device (110) and a lighting system (100) are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A method for operating a remote control system comprises the method steps of providing a remote control system (1) having an operating unit (3), which has a display (5) and at least one operating element (6), and having a communication unit (4) which has a communication link to the operating unit (3), providing a control unit (8) of a working machine (2), which control unit has a communication link to the communication unit (4), recording an operating unit actual configuration with a plurality of operating and selection menus using the operating unit (3), transmitting the operating unit actual configuration from the operating unit (3) to the control unit (8), recording a working machine actual configuration using the control unit (8), selecting at least one of the operating and selection menus on the basis of the working machine actual configuration, transmitting the at least one operating and selection menu to the operating unit (3), and displaying the at least one operating and selection menu using the display (5).
