    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cross-correlation meter for electric field small in size and low in cost capable of accurately measuring even in the case the relative values of mutual optical path length of incident light are fluctuated. SOLUTION: The cross-correlation meter for electric field is composed of a timing adjusting means that adjusts the relative time fluctuation during the period when light of signal to be measured and reference light are entered, a light branching means that divides the light of signal to be measured so as to obtain first light of signal and second light of signal, a light branching means common to the above light branching means that divides the reference light so as to obtain first reference light and second reference light, a delay means that delays the first reference light, a compositing means that composites the first light of signal and the delayed first reference light so as to obtain composited light, a first detecting means that detects the composited light, a compositing means common to the above compositing means that composites the second light of signal and second reference light so as to obtain other composited light, a second detecting means that detects the other composited light, a recording means that records the output from the first detecting means in the time series while varying the delay using the delay means and driving the timing adjusting means on the basis of the output from the second detecting means, and a means that carries out the Fourier analysis for the obtained time series.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential spectrometer system for detecting the spectral characteristics in a very narrow band with a high light transmission. SOLUTION: The differential spectrometer system comprises a plurality of photodetectors 10a, 10b constituted to detect light of frequency bands [λ1 to λ2 ] and [(λ1 +Δλ) to λ2 ] which are wider than a target narrow frequency band [(λ1 +Δλ) to λ1 ] and to produce an output variable with the light in these wide range, and a processor 18 for processing the outputs from the detectors 10a, 10b. The wide frequency band includes an overlapping part and a nonoverlapping part, i.e., a target narrow frequency band. The processor 18 processes the outputs from the detectors 10a, 10b to produce an output signal 22 including only the nonoverlapping part, i.e., a narrow frequency band (λ1 +Δλ) to λ1 .

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the resolution of a spectrum analyzer by finding a partial sum by multiplying part of a power spectrum by the 2nd window function. CONSTITUTION:A signal in some as data which is AD-converted by an AD converter 7 and inputted to a buffer memory 16 is read out by a microcomputer 17 and then multiplied by a hanning window by the 1st window function multiplying means 17A. Further, analytic data converted into the power spectrum is supplied to an extracting means 17C and part of the spectrum is multiplied by the 2nd window function to extract plural power spectrum groups while the 2nd window function is shifted in position successively from the spectrum; and the sum of the extracted power spectrum groups is calculated by an adding means 17D to calculate the partial product. This partial product is an interpolating value which interpolates respective frequency analytic components of the power spectrum, thereby improving the resolution.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable accurate detection of corona discharge, by subtracting from the output of an interference filter only transmitting the proper emission spectral line of nitrogen molecule, the output of an interference filter only transmitting light with the wave slightly deviated therefrom. CONSTITUTION:An interference filter (a) is so arranged only to transmit the light with the wave length corresponding to the proper emission spectral line of nitrogen molecule and an interference filter (b) only to transmit the light with the wavelength slightly deviated therefrom. These interference filters (a) and (b) are set in front of a TV camera 3 to observe an extraneous light 1 and the measured data when the interference filter (b) is used is subtracted from the measured data when the interference filter (a) is used with a subtraction processing circuit 5 to display an image with a TV receiver 6. This can remove noises such as solar light thereby enabling an image display of corona discharge alone accurately.
