A method for enhancing an initial tension by changing a wound direction of a coil spring. A large and precise initial tension is provided to the coil spring. An actuator having an excellent function is prepared by using a shape memory alloy. Each shape of the coil spring at high and low temperatures can be controlled by a flexible shape memory effect.

A polyolefin separator having an heat-resistant ultrafine fibrous layer and a secondary battery using the same, in which the separator has a shutdown function, low thermal contraction characteristics, thermal endurance, excellent ionic conductivity, excellent cycling characteristics at the time of battery construction, and excellent adhesion with an electrode. The present invention adopts a very simple and easy process to form an ultrafine fibrous layer through an electrospinning process, and at the same time, to remove solvent and to form pores. Accordingly, the separator of the present invention is useful particularly for electrochemical devices used in a hybrid electric automobile, an electric automobile, and a fuel cell automobile, requiring high thermal endurance and thermal stability.

The present invention relates to a method for aligning semiconducting nanowires on a metal electrode (12), more particularly to a method for aligning semiconducting nanowires on a metal electrode (12) by which a zinc oxide nanowire and a silicon nanowire are synthesized on a specific region of an electrode made of Al, Ti, Pt, etc. and the nanowires are aligned on the wafer scale instantly as they are synthesized. The method for aligning semiconducting nanowires on a metal electrode (12) in accordance with the present invention makes it possible to manufacture multiple nanowire devices at low cost. Thus, the method in accordance with the present invention can be effectively utilized to produce various nano devices, including electronic devices, optoelectronic devices, laser devices, chemical sensors, etc. in large quantity.

A thermal spray coating material for use in semiconductor equipment, its preparation method, and a coating method thereof are disclosed. The coating material may have a composition of (A1 x Y 1-x ) 2 O 3 (x is within a range of 0.05 to 0.95), and be formed as a powder with a diameter of lμm~100μm. A coating film that is coated by using the powder according to the thermal spray method has an amorphous structure.

The present invention relates to use of the extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii that is extracted using water, alcohol or a mixture thereof. Particularly, the extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii can be used for an ant i- hangover agent because it can reduce alcohol density and acetaldehyde density in blood by promoting in vivo alcohol metabolism through improving activities of alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) and acetaldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH), and present radical removal ability. The extract of Chrysanthemum zawadskii of the present invention can be used as an anti -hangover agent and health food for removing hangover because it can get rid of hangover more efficiently than hangover removing beverages in the market.

The graphic user interface comprises: a first area to receive a user's input to generate a graphic object therein; an input converter to convert the user's input into an electric signal to transmit to a processor; a control signal receiver to receive a display control signal from the processor; and a second area to display the graphic object therein based on the control signal. The graphic object includes a node representing a minimum unit of information and a link connecting node representing a relationship between the connected nodes. The users using a graphic user interface in accordance with an embodiment of the present invention can be able to understand the current items, the associated materials and their relationships in the meeting without resorting to any complicated exploring procedures.

Disclosed is a diamond saw capable of reducing noise by installing a damper for absorbing vibration in a shank. The low noise diamond saw comprises: a shank formed of a circular metallic plate; and a diamond blade bonded to an outer circumferential surface of the shank, in which a damper is partially bonded to one or both of upper and lower surfaces of the shank by a spot welding. Said one or both of the upper and lower surfaces of the shank may be provided with recesses having a thickness enough for an uppermost portion of the damper not to be higher than an uppermost portion of the diamond blade According to another embodiment of the present invention, a low noise diamond saw comprises: a shank formed of a circular metallic plate; and a diamond blade bonded to an outer circumferential surface of the shank, in which a plurality of recesses having a predetermined depth are formed in upper an d lower surfaces of the shank in correspondence with each other in a circumferential direction, a hole having a diameter smaller than that of the recess is formed in the recess, and a damper is mounted in the hole so that a clearance may not be generated between a surface of the recess and a surface of the damper. In the diamond saw, noise is reduced as the number of the dampers is increased.

The present invention relates to an omni-directional ultrasonic piezoelectric actuator system, which is capable of driving a mover in any arbitrary direction in a two-dimensional plane. The omni-directional ultrasonic piezoelectric actuator system comprises a first actuator, a second actuator and a drive member. The first actuator includes the following: a first half-wavelength resonator for generating oscillations by an AC electric field applied thereto; a second half-wavelength resonator for generating oscillations by an AC electric field having a phase difference of 90° with respect to the applied AC electric field; and a first shaking beam for connecting the first and second half-wavelength resonators. The second actuator has the same configuration as the first actuator. The drive member is disposed where the shaking beams of the first and the second actuators are crosswise coupled to each other, and frictionally drives an object to be moved.

The present invention relates to a method for the nano- surface modification of an aluminum base layer for OPC drums, and more particularly a method for performing the dry modification of an aluminum alloy for drums, such that the method does not cause fine black spots, and the aluminum alloy has a base layer having excellent wettability with an organic photo-conductor (OPC) to be coated thereon. According to one aspect, the method for the nano-surface modification of the aluminum base layer comprises the steps of: preparing a mirror-surface-treated aluminum tube; and dipping the prepared aluminum tube in an alkaline aqueous solution to form aluminum hydroxide on the surface layer thereof. According to the inventive method for the nano-surface modification of the aluminum base layer for OPC drums, a uniform insulating layer can be formed on the surface of the aluminum base layer through simple treatment at low cost while minimizing an environmental problem.
