An apparatus includes an inner component (42), an outer component (36); and a tolerance ring (20) located between the inner and outer components to provide an interference fit there between. The tolerance ring includes a strip of material having a plurality of radially extending projections (72). The strip of material is curved into a ring having a gap. The radially extending projections are compressible between the inner and outer components, and the stiffness of the radially extending projections varies around the circumference of the tolerance ring.

The present invention relates to an antimicrobial product obtained from a silicone-based system exhibiting a biocidal activity on its surface, said system comprising a silicone elastomer matrix and a mineral filler of particles chosen from the group of silicas or aluminosilicates, for example zeolites or bentonites, said particles being dispersed in said matrix and comprising, grafted to their surface, molecules of the alkylsilane type incorporating at least one quaternary ammonium functional group.

The first layer includes an elastomer and the second layer includes a f luoropolymer.

Slide bearings and methods of producing slide bearings are disclosed. The slide bearing has a metal support, an adhesive layer and a sliding layer. The adhesive layer is applied directly to the metal support. The adhesive layer comprises a blend of at least two fluoropolymers P1 and P2, wherein P1 is selected from perfluoroalkoxyethylene (PFA) or tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene (FEP). P2 is different from P1 and can be a fluoropolymer.

A method of preparing a window module includes providing a metal frame having a first major surface, applying a structural glazing tape to the first major surface of the metal frame, and positioning a glass panel overtop the structural glazing tape. The structural glazing tape includes a polymer foam tape having first and second major surfaces, an adhesive layer overlying the first major surface for bonding the structural glazing tape to the structural frame, and a release layer overlying the second major surface. The method further includes filling a channel defined by the glass panel, the metal frame, and the structural glazing tape with a curable sealant, and curing the sealant to bond the glass panel and the metal frame together.
