Abstract:
Base station and wireless headset where the headset is powered by a rechargeable battery comprised therein and where the base station has a cradle with charging output contact points and the headset has a cradle-neck with charging input contact points wherein the base station in a surface region at the cradle comprise a first surface mounted magnetic means displaying a first magnetic polarization and a second surface mounted magnetic means adjacent thereto and displaying a second magnetic polarization which is opposite the first magnetic polarization and wherein also the headset at a corresponding surface region at the cradle neck comprise at least a further surface mounted magnetic means displaying only one of the first or the second polarization ensuring attraction forces and repulsion forces respectively between this further magnetic means and the two magnetic means at the bases station cradle.
Abstract:
The application relates to a compressor circuit for a listening device, the compressor circuit comprising a pair of input terminals and a pair of output terminals, the compressor circuit being adapted for receiving an electric input signal representing an audio signal with an input voltage swing V ipp at the input terminals and for providing a possibly compressed version of the input signal as an output signal with an output voltage swing V opp at the output terminals. The application further relates to a listening device and to the use of the compressor circuit. The object of the present application is to provide a compressor circuit with a proper functioning also at relatively low input levels. The problem is solved in that an AC to DC voltage converter for generating a DC-control voltage based on the electric input signal or an AC signal derived therefrom, and a voltage controlled resistance for providing an output voltage swing Vopp controlled by the DC-control voltage, wherein the compressor circuit is energized by the electric input signal. An advantage thereof is that a compressor circuit facilitating a flexible adjustment of the maximum output level is provided. The invention may e.g. be used in portable and non-powered listening devices, e.g. headsets or active ear protection devices.
Abstract:
A headset with side support is provided, where a speaker module is coupled to a side support by means of an elongate resilient spring such that the speaker module and the side support are placeable at each their side of a users head and where the spring provides a holding force which presses the speaker module and the side support in a direction towards each other wherein the spring comprises a metal core and this core comprises a re-enforcement at the side support which extends transversely to the length direction of the elongate spring.
Abstract:
A headset is provided with two ear cups and a microphone boom arm arranged at the one side of the headset. The boom arm may be moved toward the mouth in two opposed direction, the one direction fitting a wearing style with the boom arm at the left ear, and the opposed direction fitting a wearing style with the boom arm at the right ear. When the boom arm is turned towards the mouth the movement is registered, and it is determed from this signal at which ear the user wears the boom arm, and the stereo signal is routed to the users right and left ear respectively based on this registration.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a communication device for placement at the ear of a user. A battery and transmission part is shaped to rest behind and above the ear lobe of a user and a speaker and microphone part is arranged to extend downwards in front of the ear canal. The two parts are interlinked to pivot, at least in the sagittal plane, with respect to each other and the battery and transmission part accommodates a battery as well as signal processing and transmission electronics, and the speaker and microphone part accommodates a speaker element and a microphone boom arm and further, the two parts have mating surfaces such that a pivotal motion between the two, when the device is not at the ear, will bring a surface of the first part and a surface of the second part together. Further the link between the two parts comprises a hollow ball joint connection allowing leads to pass through the ball joint. Also a magnet is inserted in the one part and a sensor for sensing the magnetic field from the magnet is comprised in the other part, such that the movement between the two parts may be registered and used to control the function of the device or for giving audible indication signals to the user.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a headset (10, 100) for communicating with a communication device (16, 18, 20). The headset (10, 100) comprises an input section (102) converting a sound to a first signal; a processing section (104) processing said first signal and transmitting a first processed signal to the communication device (16, 18, 20), and receiving a second signal from said communication device (16, 18, 20) and processing said second signal into a second processed signal. The processing section (104) comprises an adaptation means determining environmental data from the first and/or second signal and selecting a signal processing setting for the processing section (104) in accordance with the environmental data.
