Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for warning of the emergency stop of a vehicle. The device for warning of emergency stop applied to a transmitting vehicle includes a vehicle information collection unit which collects user′s vehicle information; an emergency stop determining unit which determines the emergency stop situations of user′s vehicle depending on whether at least one of ABS/ESC, final deceleration, and hazard lamps satisfies emergency stop conditions; and a BSM processing unit which generates a BSM message including user′s vehicle information and emergency stop status information and transmits the message to at least one receiving vehicle when user′s vehicle is determined to be in an emergency stop situation.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for warning the abnormality of a driver and a vehicle is provided to improve driving safety and prevent an accident by promptly warning the drivers of surrounding vehicles of a careless driver or vehicle abnormality. CONSTITUTION: A device for warning the abnormality of a driver and a vehicle comprises a driver and vehicle state determining unit(10), a message generating unit(12), a communication unit(14), a display unit(16), and a control unit(18). The driver and vehicle state determining unit determines the abnormality of a vehicle and the driving state of a driver. The message generating unit generates vehicular intercommunication massages with respect to the level of a risk on the basis of the determined result from the driver and vehicle state determining unit.
