Abstract:
PURPOSE: A transgenic chicken with human SOD-3 gene is provided to induce human SOD-3 gene and to produce useful protein for human body. CONSTITUTION: A recombinant expression vector, pLenti6/OVA-SOD(KACC 95104P), contains a gene of sequence number 1 with a promoter of chiken ovalbumin and human SOD-3 gene. The recombinant expression vector is prepared by introducing the gene of sequence number 1 into pLenti6/TR vector. The recombinant expression vector contains a sequence of sequence number 2. A transgenic chicken which is able to express the human SOD-3 gene is produced by transforming with the recombinant expression vector.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for cryopreserving somatic cells by a vacuum packing is provided to save storage cost and to preserve somatic cells for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A method for cryopreserving somatic cells comprises: a step of freezing somatic cells dipped in a cryotube; a step of vacuum-packing the cryotube using a film adhesion device; and a step of storing the cryotube in a freezer at less than -80°C. A method for freezing the somatic cells comprises: a step of culturing cell line in a mdium containing FBS; a step of adding cryopreservation liquid to the medium; a step of injecting somatic cells; and a step of freezing in a freezer at -70 to -80°C.

PURPOSE: A method for producing a transformed chicken containing human lactoferrin gene is provided to effectively produce a target proteins. CONSTITUTION: A lentivirus vector contains a promoter region in which human lactoferrin gene and ovalbumin gene are combined together. A recombinant lentivirus is prepared using the lentivirus vector in virus packaging cell, 293T cells. A method for producing a transformed chicken with human lactoferrin gene: a step of analyzing semen from transformed roosters and selecting semen containing human lactoferrin gene; and a step of fertilizing semen with hen and hatching.

PURPOSE: An estrus viewer is provided to use vaginal mucus which is the most significant evidence of estrus of cow as a detection device of estrus and to observe the estrus expression of cow with the high accuracy. CONSTITUTION: An estrus viewer comprises: a transmitter(2) which wirelessly transmits a signal corresponding to the sensing result of the wireless transmitter after the electrical conductivity of the vaginal mucus is sensed by the conductivity detection sensor which is fixed to the cow intravaginal; and a receiver(4) expressing the result corresponding to that signal wirelessly received from the transmitter. A step down milk feeding method for minimizing weaning stress of a new born calf is provided to make a calf maintained in a high nutrition state before weaning to reduce weaning stress. In a step down milk feeding method for minimizing weaning stress of a new born calf, milk in an amount that is up to 15-25% of the weight of a calf is fed according to the weight of an individual calf for the early three to four weeks. Then, the amount of the milk is reduced to 8-15% of the weight of the calf for 3 to 7 days before weaning. The reduced amount of milk is compensated by using water. Then, milk in an amount that is 8-15% of the weight of the calf is fed for each calf from the fifth week to sixth or eighth week.

A lipopolysaccharide(LPS) isolated from bacteria in uterine of cow is provided to be injected into the uterine to improve the inside immuno-function and allow polymorphonuclear leukocyte to detect the bacteria in the uterine, thereby improving the environment of the uterine of the cow, preventing endometritis, and increasing conception rate. The agent for improving uterine environment in cow is characterized in that 10-700mug of LPS isolated from Bacteroides helcogenes and Fusobacterium varium commonly detected from uterines of a normal cow and an abnormal cow is injected into the uterine of the cow.

A body condition score checking tool for Korean cows and milk cows is provided to express numerically nutrition of the cattle and standardize determination of fatness, thereby effectively managing the nutrition of the cattle. A body condition score checking tool for Korean cows and milk cows includes a handle(11), a cross reference member(20), a pair of guide rails(30), a pair of scale fixing members(40), and a pulling wire(50). The handle has a guide member with a through-hole, and a first frame formed at its one end. The cross reference member is straightly connected to the second frame connected to the handle. The pair of guide rails connect the first frame and the cross reference member with the second frame interposed therebetween. The pair of scale fixing members has a press member to press or release a scale inserted in an axial direction. The pulling wire is guided by the guide member and connected to the press member.

PURPOSE: A self artificial fertilizing device is provided for even non-experienced person to safely and reliably perform an artificial fertilization of cattle by using frozen semen of the cattle such as cow, horse, deer and the like. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises: (i) an insertion main body pipe(15) which has a hanging part(16) on the rear end; and (ii) a length control pipe(12) which is insertion-installed at the tip of the main body and comprises a vaginal insertion tool(10) which controls the length to be assembled on the insertion main body pipe according to the size of the vagina of the cattle, and a guiding tool(20) which is assembled on the tip of an injector(5) and insertion-guides through insertion holes(11) at the insertion main body pipe and inside of the length control pipe.
