Abstract: A backup system and a backup method thereof are provided to enable a user to back up data stored in a mobile terminal easily and conveniently to a backup device through NFC(Near Field Communication), and complete a backup process conveniently even if backup is terminated in an incomplete backup state. A backup device(102) approves wireless connection when a wireless connection is requested from a mobile terminal(100), and backs up data received from the connected mobile terminal. The mobile terminal detects the backup device automatically, and performs backup of backup data by connecting to the backup device in a predetermined wireless protocol and transmitting the backup data to the backup device. The mobile terminal stores unique information of the backup device to each incomplete backup data when the backup is interrupted, and resumes the backup of the incomplete backup data to the backup device when connection to the backup device is connected again.
