Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method for synchronizing user registration information in an inter-domain. In this synchronization method, the current position information of a random user is registered through a register message when the user moves from one user agent to another. An up-sync message is transmitted upstream of a tree structure and a down-sync message is transmitted downstream of the tree structure when user registration information is created or changed. The synchronization of the user registration information is carried out in upper and lower session initiation protocol servers/registrars having received the up-sync and down-sync messages, respectively.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for managing QoS(Quality of Service) in multicast transmission and a device therefor are provided to collect and manage state information of QoS variables including membership information, data throughput, a data loss rate, transmission delay, etc. CONSTITUTION: Users desiring to get a multicast data service input user IDs to subscribe in a session(110). An information transmitter transmits related session information including multicast addresses and QoS variable information to the users(120). A user authenticator stores the number of session subscribers and distribution information in a QoS state information database(130). A data transmitter transmits data(140). The information transmitter requests the users to periodically report state information of QoS variables(150). A QoS variable unit receives QoS state information report messages(160). The QoS variable unit records session membership and QoS state information in the QoS state information database(170), to adjust a multicast data transfer rate and extract charging information from the QoS state information(180).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A multicast transmission system capable of managing a group membership and a method therefor are provided to continuously update and manage membership information of users until a session is ended after the session is generated. CONSTITUTION: An information provider terminal device(100) makes various application sessions for multicast, and provides the various application sessions. The information provider terminal device(100) receives membership information about session participants who participate in the session, and manages received membership information. A membership management server(110) informs the various application sessions provided from the information provider terminal device(100) to a plurality of users connected to a multicast transmission system, through a wired/wireless communication network, and updates and stores membership information about users who actually participate in the session. A user terminal device(102) connects to the membership management server(110) according to the session participation request of the user, participates in a requested session among the various sessions provided from the membership management server(110), executes an application program according to the progress of the corresponding session, and periodically informs the connection to the session to the membership management server(110).
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for controlling an error in a multicasting transmission system using a repeater server is provided to disperse the number of a user ACK packet and an error control which are simultaneously received by forming a large scale of user group as a plurality of local groups. CONSTITUTION: A repeater server forms a plurality of local groups intended for a plurality of users in a corresponding area(S201). The repeater server sets and transmits an error control variable to the users(S202). The repeater server receives an information providing request message(S203). It is searched whether a corresponding request data packet is present in a request information buffer(S204). When the corresponding request data packet is present and absent in the request information buffer, the corresponding request data packet and an information providing request message are transmitted to a user(S205) and an information providing system(S206), respectively. A corresponding request data packet is stored in the request information buffer(S207). The stored corresponding request data packet is transmitted to an information user(S208). When a request data packet is normally and abnormally transmitted, the corresponding request data packet is removed and is again transmitted, respectively(S209,S210).
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for providing customized content using metadata are disclosed. The apparatus for providing customized content using metadata according to the present invention includes a content information acquisition unit for acquiring content metadata from a user; a content search unit for searching target content using communication between network devices using the content metadata; and a content providing unit for providing the user with the target content.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a peer to peer (P2P) network system in the present specification. A peer activity management server (PAMS) of the P2P network system receives inquiry whether the PAMS controls a peer from another PAMS or receives status information of the peer or service use or content of the peer from the peer or another PAMS. Further, the PAMS determines whether the peer is controlled based on the inquiry by the PAMS or updates a peer list based on the service use or content of the peer. In addition, the PAMS transmits the status information of the peer included in the peer list to an overlay management server or transmits the service use or content of the peer to a user management server.
Abstract:
The transmission part of a system for providing realistic voice outputs the voice signal of a speaker which is outputted from mikes which are installed according to the position of users to a reception part and also generates a position matrix which represents the relative output level of a voice signal outputted from the mikes after extracting the level of the voice signal of the speaker outputted from the mikes and outputs it to the reception part. The reception part of the system for providing realistic voice controls the voice output of the speakers which are installed corresponding to each position of the users by using the position matrix.
