Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for providing interoperability over heterogeneous home network devices and a method for building the system are provided to improve the fault tolerance by applying dispersion structure using interoperability gateway. CONSTITUTION: An interoperability gateway(150a) establishes a connection for an IP packet transmission with a Non-IP network device(110a). The interoperability gateway assigns IP address to the Non-IP device. The interoperability gateway writes message routing table about the Non-IP appliance in the network within the connection lease request message through the IP address. The interoperability gateway transmits the detection query message of the IP network device(210) to the Non-IP network device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A contents redistribution system of the peer-to-peer network-based and contents management terminal and method for distributing the content method uses the P2P mode and the distribution channel going the subscribers of the IPTV service is offered. Abstract: A method and a system for providing a multimedia service are provided to simultaneously process expandability of a UPnP protocol, UPnP service connectivity according to user movement and UPnP message security and device authentication problems between home networks which are blocked from the outside. Abstract: A method and an apparatus for managing peers in a P2P network system are provided to increase the overall processing and response speed of a P2P network system by acting as a substitute for a super peer so as to reduce the loading of the super peer. A peer management apparatus(312) consists of a first interface part(10), a second interface part(20), a packet detection part(30), a packet management part(40), a storage part(60), and a packet transfer part(50). The first interface part controls the packet transmission paths between internal peers and the second interface part. The second interface part executes packet forwarding between the first network device(311) and the first interface part. The packet detection part detects and acquires it if a packet is transmitted or received through the first interface part or the second interface part. Analyzing the acquired packet, the packet management part confirms the second peer or a peer group which the first peer tries to access or extracts information about the first peer, the second peer or the peer group. The storage part stores peer or peer group information, extracted through the packet management part, according to peers or groups. The packet transfer part, if information corresponding to the second peer or a peer group which the packet management part confirms exists in the storage part, creates a packet having the corresponding information and delivers it to the first peer.
