Abstract: 본 발명은 신규한 지르콘산염계 형광체 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 모체로 Ca와 Zr을 함유하는 페로브스카이트 구조의 지르콘산염과 활성제로 희토류 이온으로 구성되어, 상기 희토류 이온이 칼슘 자리를 치환하여 들어가 결정학적으로 상분리가 없는 완전한 고용체를 형성하고 또한 상기 페로브스카이트 구조에 의한 광학적 물성이 변화되는 특성으로 저전압에서 가속전자에 의한 음극선발광 특성을 모두 나타내고, 활성제에 따라 청색, 녹색 및 적색발광이 모두 가능하고, 발광강도가 우수한 신규한 지르콘산염계 형광체 조성물에 관한 것이다.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a gas phase combinatorial chemistry synthetic device which synthesizes the powder of phosphors according to the composition ratio simply and continuously, controlled by a computer. The ratio of the composition is controlled by the changing quantity of the spraying solution. The device makes the synthesis fast and enables the low cost detection, in reduced time, of the composition ratio of dielectric materials, magnetic substances, material for electrodes and catalysts. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises: several solution storage tanks(1) which keep a certain quantity of various metal ion solution such as metal nitrate, metal acetate and metal chelate; a delivery pipe, a revolving speed induction motor which is computer controlled, and a solution introducing equipment which is composed of a pump head with the delivery pipe introducing a certain amount of different metal ion solution at the same time with a certain speed and time to suit each composition ratio; a high temperature tube reactor(4) or a spray equipment of air nozzle or micro wave nozzle which sprays solution as liquid into a flame reactor; a high temperature tube vapor reaction reactor with 1-2 meter length or flame reactor equipped with quarts tube or ceramic tube; a detector(5) which detects the existence or non-existence of powder and controls the operation of powder recovery equipment; a filter connected to a vacuum pump(7) and a continuous powder collecting equipment(6) composed of revolving belt with the filter which is controlled by a computer; a recovery equipment(8) for waste solution and waste powder which are not collected; and a computer(9) controlling the whole device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing a boron oxide-based red fluorescent substance (Y, Gd)BO3:Eu is provided to lower the reaction temperature and to improve the brightness, wherein the fluorescent substance is useful to a plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dropping an aqueous mixture comprising an yttrium compound, a gadolinium compound, an europium compound and boric acid and a basic solution selected from an inorganic base and an organic base into a blank solution to coprecipitate the rare-earth metal with maintaining pH to be 7-9; filtering the solution and drying the filtrate; and heating the dried one at 600-1,100 deg.C in air. Preferably the blank solution is at least one selected from the group consisting of distilled water, methanol, ethanol, 1-propyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol; the yttrium compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of yttrium nitrate, yttrium chloride and yttrium acetate; the gadolinium compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of gadolinium nitrate, gadolinium chloride and gadolinium acetate; the europium compound is at least one selected from the group consisting of europium nitrate, europium chloride and europium acetate; the inorganic base is at least one selected from the group consisting of NH4OH, NaOH and KOH; and the organic base is at least one selected from the group consisting of diethyl amine, diethanol amine and triethyl amine.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for preparing a spherical aluminate-based blue fluorescent substance BaMgAl10O17:Eu is provided to obtain a fine spherical material without ball-milling at a lower temperature, wherein the substance can be applied to a PDP. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of adding an aluminium compound, a hydroxypropyl cellulose dispersant with a molecular weight of 100,000 and a urea precipitating agent to a solution mixture of water and alcohol in the ratio of 1:3-7 by volume, and hydrolyzing it to obtain an aluminium precipitate; dispersing the aluminium precipitate into an aqueous mixture solution containing barium, magnesium and europium; adding oxalic acid to the dispersion solution and controlling pH to be 6-9 with a basic solution to precipitate aluminium, barium, magnesium and europium; filtering and drying the precipitate; and calcining the dried one at 1,100-1,400 deg.C in air and heating the calcined one at 1,000-1,200 deg.C under a reductive atmosphere by using 25% H2/N2 gas. Preferably the alcohol is at least one selected from the group consisting of 1-propyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol.
