Abstract: PURPOSE: A structure of a variable tail pipe of a muffler is provided to reduce visible degree of the tail pipe seen from a rear side of a vehicle when the vehicle stops, and to variably increase a channel of the tail pipe depending on exhaust pressure of exhaust gas when the vehicle runs. CONSTITUTION: A structure includes a tail pipe(30) having some of a lower section of an end thereof cut away; an actuating piece(32) replacing the cut=away part of the tail pipe, and formed to move up and down; a guide(33) protruded upward from an upper part of the actuating piece, and having a guide hole(34) formed on the middle thereof in vertical direction; a guide pin(35) penetrating the guide hole to attach the actuating piece to the tail pipe; and a spring(36) having one end elastically supported by the guide pin, and stored in the guide hole. A stopper(37) is formed on a lower side of the tail pipe to guide the guide to move up and down in vertical direction with respect to the guide pin. The guide is moved up by elastic force of the spring to move up the actuating piece when an engine stops.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for removing condensate of an exhaust system is provided to effectively discharge condensate not only at a fast driving but also at a slow driving by varying the size of an orifice corresponding to the flexible pressure of exhaust gas according to the RPM(Revolution Per Minute) of an engine. CONSTITUTION: An isolating plate(30) is formed in the middle of an orifice pipe(24). A perforation hole(32) is formed in the center of the isolating plate. One side of the isolating plate is elastically supported by a spring(28) by inserting inside a guide(26). The size of the perforation hole is varied according to the negative pressure to be passed perforation the orifice pipe. The lower part of the perforation hole is inclined to be operated actively. Thereby, the corrosion of a muffler or an exhaust pipe by condensate is prevented.
