    Abstract: PURPOSE: An ISG(idle stop & go) entry system and a method thereof are provided to improve the drivability by entering an ISG mode without a battery sensor based on the starting voltages, coolant temperature, charge accumulation, ISG entry frequencies and the number of starting times of ISG vehicles. CONSTITUTION: An ISG(idle stop & go) entry system comprises a starting voltage detection unit(22), a coolant temperature detection unit(24), a ISG entry frequency detection unit(26), a charge accumulation detection unit(28), a starting time counting unit(30), and an engine controller(32). The starting voltage detection unit detects the starting voltage of ISG vehicles, which are not equipped with a battery sensor. The coolant temperature detection unit detects the coolant temperature of the ISG vehicles. The ISG entry frequency detection unit detects ISG entry frequencies of the ISG vehicles. The charge accumulation detection unit detects amount of charge accumulation while driving. The starting time counting unit counts the number of starting times of the ISG vehicles. The engine controller performs ISG operation based on the starting voltages, coolant temperature, ISG entry frequencies, charge accumulation, and the number of the starting times of the ISG vehicles.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A restarting control system for an engine of ISG(Idle Stop and Go) vehicles is provided to prevent accidents by locking a restart of an engine while objects in front of the vehicles are detected through operation of a front sensor and a switch control. CONSTITUTION: A restarting control system for an engine of ISG vehicles comprises a hood opening recognition switch(111), a front sensor(112), a judgment unit(114), and a setting unit(115). If a car hood is opened, the hood opening recognition switch is automatically turned on and outputs hood opening recognition signals. The front sensor is installed at a front of the vehicles and outputs sense signals by detecting objects placed in front of the vehicles within a predetermined distance. The judgment unit confirms at least one input among the hood opening recognition signals and sense signals in a state that a car engine is switched off. If at least one among the hood opening recognition signals and the sense signals is inputted, the setting unit locks a restart of the engine.
