Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for grafting and growing a conductive organic film on(to) an electrically conductive or semiconductive surface in which the grafting and growing of the film are performed simultaneously by electro-reduction of a diazonium salt that is a precursor of the said film on(to) the said surface cathodically polarized at a potential greater than or equal, in absolute value, to the electro-reduction potential of the diazonium salt relative to a reference electrode. The invention finds an application especially in the protection of surfaces, the manufacture of localized conductive coatings, of chemical sensors in the fields of chemistry and molecular biology, the manufacture of biomedical equipment, etc.

Elle trouve une application notamment dans la protection de surfaces, la fabrication de revêtements conducteurs localisés, de capteurs chimiques dans les domaines d e la chimie et de la biologie moléculaire, la fabrication de matériel biomédic al etc.

Abstract: The invention relates to a contact for an electrical contactor protected by a polymer film and to its production process. This contact (3 or 7) has a contact resistance of at the most 10 ohms and incorporates a base metal coated by a 5 to 500 nm, homo- geneous, adhesive organic polymer film. The polymer film can be deposited by the electropolymerization of a monomer such as acrylo- nitrile, followed by a heat treatment or irradiation to improve its electrical conductivity, so that a contact resistance not exce- eding 10 ohms is obtained.
