Abstract: A method and a system for transforming between one or more point type sources and a line source in a transmission line structure. A transmission line path controller is inserted between a first parallel-plate waveguide section and a second parallel-plate waveguide section. The transmission line path controller comprises a curved side to which one end of each waveguide is coupled. The transmission line path controller further comprises a waveguide slot, one side of which is a part of the curved side, coupling the waveguide ends that are coupled to the transmission line path controller. The ends of the waveguides that are not coupled to the transmission line path controller forms the point type source and the line source, respectively.

La antena repetidora tiene cuando menos un primer (410) y un segundo (420) elemento de antena y una red de alimentacion para los elementos de antena, los elementos de antena dando lugar a un primer (260) y un segundo (270) haz de antena. El primer haz se puede usar para conectar la antena repetidora a la primer unidad de radio, y el segundo haz se puede usar para conectar la antena repetidora a la segunda unidad de radio. Tambien, el primero y segundo elementos de antena estan dispuestos sobre una superficie (430, 620) en donde la distancia entre los dos elementos de antena a lo largo de la superficie es mas larga que la distancia mas corta entre los elementos de antena.

Abstract: A dual-polarized antenna (10) with good isolation between feed ports (13a, 13b) and high similarity with respect to the radiation patterns is provided. An antenna (10) includes a patch (11), four symmetrically arranged feed structures (12a-12d, 15), two feed ports (13, 13b) and a feed network (14). Radiation pattern similarity is obtained by the pair-wise symmetrical, orthogonal layout of the feed structures (12a-12d, 15). Good isolation between feed ports (13a, 13b) is achieved through a feed network (14) divided into two network parts (14a, 14b) where each network part (14a, 14b) is designed so that each coupling between a network part (14a, 14b) and a feed structure (12a12d, 15) belonging to the other polarization is cancelled by a mirrored coupling with the other feed structure (12a-12d, 15) belonging to the polarization. In addition, a network part (14a, 14b) is laid out so that its corresponding feed structures (12a-12d, 15) are fed with supporting signals of equal magnitude.

Abstract: A stacked patch antenna comprising two metallic patches (210, 240) stacked on top of each other. The middle patch (210) comprises at least two conductors (224, 234) at or close to its edge (212), which conductors are intended to be connected to a ground plane (200) to thereby ground the patch in two places. The top patch (240) comprises at least two conductors (254, 264) at or close to its edge (242) which electrically interconnect the two patches. The middle patch is fed at a feed area (219) which is at least proximate its geometric center. The middle patch further comprises at least two apertures (220, 230) completely within its circumference (212), i.e. each aperture having a respective unbroken circumference (232, 242). Thereby enabling radiation from slots (214, 216, 244, 246) defined by the edge of the top patch and the edge of the middle patch and defined by the edge of the middle patch and the ground plane.
