Abstract: Metered dose inhaler having all or part of its internal surfaces coated with one or more fluorocarbon polymers, opt. in combination with one or more non-fluorocarbon polymers, is used for dispensing an inhalation drug formulation comprising albuterol (also known as salbutamol) or one of its salts, and a fluorocarbon propellant, opt. in combination with one or more other pharmacologically active agents or one or more excipients. Also claimed is a metered dose inhaler system comprising a metered dose inhaler fitted into a suitable channelling device for oral or nasal inhalation of the drug formulation.
