Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a keratin fiber-dyeing composition containing a specific triaminopyrimidin derivative used as a color-developing substance and a coupling substance and capable of dissolving in relatively low pH and readily preparing and excellent in dyeing effect. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition for dyeing a keratin fiber such as hair is obtained by using 2,4,5-triamino-6-chloropyrimidine of the formula or its salt as a color-developing substance in the composition consisting of a coupling substance and the color-developing substance. As the coupling substance, resorcin, 4-propyl-2,6-diaminopyridine, etc., is used. In the composition, a blend amount of the color-developing substance and the coupling substance is preferably about 1-3wt.%. When dyeing is carried out using the dyeing composition, wide dyeing, e.g. from yellow through red to blue and further from gray to black brown is made possible in the combination of the color substance and coupling substance. The color tone has high chroma. The resultant dyed color exhibits resistance to discoloration by light, washing, abrasion, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hair-treatment agent composition containing a silicone modified with a cyclic Bunte salt and an oxidizing agent and effective in imparting hair with split-prevention effect and luster durable over a long period. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition contains 0.01-50wt.% of a cyclic Bunte salt-modified silicone of formula I (X is alkali metal, alkaline-earth metal, ammonia, amine or quaternary ammonium salt; n is 4-10; m is 3-11) and 0.05-30wt.% of an oxidizing agent (e.g. hydrogen peroxide). More desirably, the composition is produced by compounding 0.1-50wt.% of compounds of formula II and formula III (R is H, 1-4C alkyl, etc.; Y is H or OH; p, q and r are 0-5; R3 is 8-18C alkyl) and properly compounding conventional components for hair-treatment. The composition is used in the form of two-pack type composition consisting of the 1st agent containing the compound of formula I and the 2nd agent containing the oxidizing agent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic composition suitably employed for dyeing hair as a hair dye or for making up eyelashes, eyebrows or skins by compounding fine particles coated with pyrrole black. CONSTITUTION:Pyrrole is dissolved in water or a lower alcohol and fine particles are dispersed in the solution. A ferric salt aqueous solution is added dropwise to the dispersion to form a black pigment having a sparingly soluble pyrrole black layer thereon. The pigment is added to a cosmetic composition in an amount of 0.1-50 wt.%, preferably 0.3-30 wt.%. Since the black pigment has a high shielding force, the hydrophobic surface and high compatibility with oil components generally used in cosmetics, the black pigment gives a sufficiently high shielding power and highly smooth spreading property to cosmetics.

PREPARATION:2-Nitro-4-mesyloxy-5-alkylphenol expressed by formula II is methylated to give a compound expressed by formula III, which is subjected to demesylation to afford a compound expressed by formula IV. Then the compound expressed by formula IV is reduced using a catalyst such as Pd or Pt in a solvent such as methanol in ambient temperature to boiling point of the solvent and 1-250kg/cm hydrogen pressure by catalytic hydrogenation to provide the compound expressed by formula I.

The developing substance and coupling substance are used at a blend molar ratio of 1:0.5-1:2 and prepared in an agent type such as cream, emulsion, gel or solution.
