    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of an oligomer generated in melt molding to thereby provide a process for producing a polyester resin composition excellent in the capability of controlling the deposition of an oligomer, surface properties and productivity. SOLUTION: A polyester composition is brought into contact with a solution having a temperature of 30-150 deg.C, a pH of above 5 and 9 or lower, and a phosphorus compound content of 0.01 wt.% or higher and below 50 wt.%. The polyester composition is also subjected to contact treatment in such a manner that the content of at least one element selected from germanium, antimony, titanium, silicon, lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and manganese, other than the particles of the polyester resin composition is below 300 ppm.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biaxially oriented thermoplastic resin film which can enlarge the draw ratio of the film to increase the strength of the film because the film is thin and resistant to breakage by solving the problem that the film is not broken in a sequential biaxial orientation method, and the temperature of the end part of the film is not increased to cause the breakage of the film during orientation when the film is biaxially stretched simultaneously. SOLUTION: The molten thermoplastic resin is cooled quickly and solidified into a sheet. After the temperature of the middle part in the width direction of the sheet is made higher than that of the end part in the width direction of the sheet, the sheet is stretched biaxially and simultaneously in the longitudinal direction and in the width direction.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade the quality and productivity of a thermoplastic resin sheet by irradiating a rotor with which a running film comes into contact, with plasma and thereby removing an organic matter sticking to the rotor. SOLUTION: The removal of an organic matter sticking to a rotor and the mitigation of damage to the surface material quality of the rotor due to plasma, are realized by adjusting the irradiation with the plasma in terms of the rotary velocity of the rotor, the irradiation distance of the plasma and the moving velocity of a plasma generating electrode. The decomposition and removal of the organic matter are made possible by irradiating the rotor which is becoming contaminated by contact with a running film with plasma and thus the organic matter-free rotor is obtained. Consequently, it is possible to remove a contamination caused by the organic matter while the film is running without once stopping the manufacture of a thermoplastic resin film, hence the inhibition of flaw generation in the film and the improvement of its productivity.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve mechanical strength and coefficient of thermal conductivity by heating aromatic polyamide film having specific tensile modulus, strength and weight reduction rate to a specified temperature at specific weight reduction speed in an inert atmosphere and carbonizing it to have specified tensile modulus, strength and coefficient of thermal conductivity. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide film having 8 GPa or higher tensile modulus, 350 MPa or higher tensile strength and less than 20% weight reduction rate at 500 deg.C under an inert atmosphere is roasted as a precursor to obtain the carbon film having 30 GPa or higher tensile modulus, 200 MPa or higher tensile strength and 100 W/m.K or higher coefficient of thermal conductivity in the facial direction. 50% or more of the aromatic diamine component and the dicarboxylic acid component constituting the polyamide are preferably derived from para- or meta-phenylene diamine and tere- or iso-phthalic acid, respectively. The roasting is preferably carried out at 0.5%/min or slower weight reduction speed until the weight reduction rate is 20% or more while adjusting the heating speed under an inert atmosphere.
