Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a thermoplastic resin film having no surface flaw or internal flaw, enhanced in insulation rate and film forming speed and excellent in quality and productivity. SOLUTION: In a method for guiding the molten sheet discharged from a die slit while bringing both side end parts thereof into contact with the guide plates provided to the outer surfaces of both ends of the die slit to bring the sheet into close contact with a cooling body to cool and solidify the same, the guide plates variable in shape corresponding to the neckdown of the discharged molten sheet are used to set a ratio De/Dc of the thickness Dc of the central part of the cooled and solidified sheet, and the thickness De inside by 20 mm from the end part of the sheet to 2 or less to produce a thermoplastic resin film. In this method, the molten sheet is pref. brought into close contact with the cooling body by a static electricity applying method to be cooled and solidified.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of an oligomer generated in melt molding to thereby provide a process for producing a polyester resin composition excellent in the capability of controlling the deposition of an oligomer, surface properties and productivity. SOLUTION: A polyester composition is brought into contact with a solution having a temperature of 30-150 deg.C, a pH of above 5 and 9 or lower, and a phosphorus compound content of 0.01 wt.% or higher and below 50 wt.%. The polyester composition is also subjected to contact treatment in such a manner that the content of at least one element selected from germanium, antimony, titanium, silicon, lithium, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and manganese, other than the particles of the polyester resin composition is below 300 ppm.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To upgrade the quality and productivity of a thermoplastic resin sheet by irradiating a rotor with which a running film comes into contact, with plasma and thereby removing an organic matter sticking to the rotor. SOLUTION: The removal of an organic matter sticking to a rotor and the mitigation of damage to the surface material quality of the rotor due to plasma, are realized by adjusting the irradiation with the plasma in terms of the rotary velocity of the rotor, the irradiation distance of the plasma and the moving velocity of a plasma generating electrode. The decomposition and removal of the organic matter are made possible by irradiating the rotor which is becoming contaminated by contact with a running film with plasma and thus the organic matter-free rotor is obtained. Consequently, it is possible to remove a contamination caused by the organic matter while the film is running without once stopping the manufacture of a thermoplastic resin film, hence the inhibition of flaw generation in the film and the improvement of its productivity.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam which comprises a thermoreversibly crosslinkable resin and has a fine cell diameter thereby exhibiting improved dynamic properties, looking ultra-white and presenting a good appearance, and furthermore is excellent in recyclability, and to provide a method for preparing the same. SOLUTION: This foam comprises a thermoreversibly crosslinkable resin which flows at a flow beginning temperature Tc( deg.C) or above and has a crosslinked structure at Tc-40( deg.C) or below, and has an average cell diameter of at least 0.1 μm and not more than 30 μm and a void content of at least 20% and not more than 99%. The foam can be prepared by injecting a blowing agent soluble in a thermoreversibly crosslinkable resin into the resin at a temperature where the melt index (MI) of the resin is at least 1.5, cooling the resin down to a temperature where the MI of the resin is not more than 1.0 and allowing it to expand at a discharge opening.
