Abstract:
A connecting mechanism includes a first connecting member, a second connecting member, a first conduit and a second conduit. The first connecting member includes a first cylinder and a first piston movably accommodated within the first cylinder to divide the first cylinder into a first space on the one side of the first piston and a second space on the opposite side of the first piston. The second connecting member includes a second cylinder and a second piston movable accommodated within the second cylinder to divide the second cylinder into a third space on the one side of the second piston and a fourth space on the opposite side of the second piston. The first conduit communicates the first space with the third space. The second conduit communicates the second space with the fourth space. An electronic device using the connecting mechanism is also provided.
Abstract:
An unlock mechanism for a rotary door operator of a transit vehicle includes a pivotally disposed unlock member adapted for rotating a lock member into an unlock position and activating a valve for discharging the fluid pressure from the drive cylinder to enable manual opening of the door. A spring is provided for biasing the unlock member to a non-activated position. The unlock member may be activated either with a cable or a lever handle. A lock sensing switch provides a feedback on the lock condition to the transit vehicle control system. Additionally, a guiding bracket is provided for securing the cable in proximity of the unlock member.
Abstract:
A door closer comprising a housing, a member for driving engagement with a door, the member being rotatable relative to the housing in a door opening direction and in a door closing direction, a spring apparatus within the housing providing a resilient bias, the resilient bias being increased by rotation of the member in the door opening direction and a check device for controlling rotation of the member in the door closing direction and hence closure of the door under the action of the spring apparatus, the door closer having a back check comprising a piston member movable in a cylinder from an initial position against resistance of a fluid medium by rotation of the rotatable member in the opening direction.

Abstract:
The invention pertains to a hydraulic swinging-leaf door drive for swinging doors with an actuating piston, which acts on a drive shaft, and with a hydraulic pump, which acts on the actuating piston by way of a hydraulic circuit. To create a hydraulic swinging-leaf door drive of the type explained above, which is improved from a technical standpoint, which occupies only a small amount of space, and which is also suitable for installation under cover, it is provided according to the invention that the hydraulic circuit is designed as a closed circuit.
Abstract:
A door operator system for slidable doors comprises an expandable and retractable lattice assembly adapted for connection between a door and a stationary structure. The lattice assembly includes forward and rearward link arms connected together at a pivot joint to form a link arm pair. Several link arm pairs may be pivotally joined together to form the expandable and retractable lattice assembly, such that the distance between a retracted position and an expanded position of the lattice assembly is relatively long. An actuator with a relatively short stroke length has a housing and a shaft that reciprocates with respect to the housing between retracted and extended positions. The housing is connected to a pivot joint of one pair of link arms and the reciprocal shaft is connected to a juxtaposed pivot joint of another pair of link arms. With this arrangement, movement of the shaft over the relatively short stroke length causes the lattice assembly to move between the retracted and expanded positions over the relatively long distance, thereby causing movement of the door with respect to the stationary structure over the relatively long distance. Pneumatic control circuitry for controlling operation of the door and safety features are disclosed.
Abstract:
A system for opening and closing a gate or door which includes a sprocket and a perforated rigid strip of material. The perforated rigid strip of material is mounted to the gate or door. The sprocket is positioned so that the teeth of the sprocket will engage the perforations in the rigid strip. Therefore, when the sprocket is rotated the rigid strip will be moved by the sprocket thus causing the gate or door to open or close.
Abstract:
A compartment confining construction comprises an opening and a closure unit movably mounted on the compartment confining construction for movement between a closing position and a fully opened position with respect to the opening. A fluid-based positioning unit is connected to both the compartment confining construction and the closure unit, the fluid-based positioning unit having two working chambers interconnected by at least one flow path, a movement of the closure unit corresponding to a flow of fluid from one chamber to another through the at least one flow path. A fluid flow control device is provided for controlling the flow of fluid through the at least one flow path and thereby controlling the movement of the closure unit. The fluid flow control device is actuatable by an electric actuating device. The flow of liquid occurs in response to movement of the closure unit when the closure unit is moved by an external force.
Abstract:
A self-contained automatic gate system is disclosed wherein all system components are built into the gate system itself thereby allowing the user to simply provide a footing for mounting the system and then mounting it with no need for further assembly.
Abstract:
An automatic gate opening device consisting of two arm members pivotally attached to form a link. One end of the link is pivotally attached to one end of a standoff. The second end of the standoff is fixedly attached to a hinge post supporting the gate. The second end of the link is pivotally attached to the gate. An electrically powered linear actuator is pivotally attached to the post arm and gate arm through levers. The solar panel charges a battery which, through a receiver unit, powers the actuator. Gate operator actuates gate with a portable transmitter.
