SOLUTION: A wearable audio interface includes a support for locating a plurality of speakers close to an ear of a wearing person with a space from there. Abstract:
An earpiece includes an earpiece housing, a speaker associated with the ear piece housing, a microphone associated with the ear piece housing a wireless transceiver disposed within the ear piece housing and a processor disposed within the ear piece housing. The earpiece is configured to connect with a vehicle using the wireless transceiver and after connection with the vehicle automatically enter a driving mode. In the driving mode, the earpiece senses ambient sound with the microphone and reproduces the ambient sound at the speaker and the driving mode may be locked in place during driving.
Abstract:
An electronic device 410 includes a band 412 configured to be worn on the head of a user. The band has a central portion 430 and first and second temple portions 440 extending therefrom. The central portion is configured to contact a portion of the face of a user, and the temple portions are configured to contact portions of the head of the user near ears thereof. An operational unit 414 having a display 454 is affixed to the first temple portion and includes a housing 452 having an arm 476 defining a longitudinal axis. The housing also includes an elbow 450 portion defining a display end 458 that supports the display element such that it extends along a display axis angled with respect to the longitudinal axis and such that the display element is positionable over an eye of the user. Image generating means are disposed within the housing for generating an image presentable on the display element.
Abstract:
A holster provides a carrier for removable storing a portable electronic device, such as a cellular phone, PDA or MP3 player, and a fastener for securing the carrier to the user's clothing or bag. The holster includes a docking station inside the carrier and a pair of guide rails extending from the docking station to guide a device into electrical contact with the docking station. The docking station and rails are preferably pivotally mounted to the carrier to that they can be pivoted for convenient and easy insertion and removal of a device from aligned contact with the docking station. The dock equipped holster can then provide several power supply options for the user, including solar cells along an exterior surface of the carrier, wireless charging tags or pass through power cord ports, as well as data port and audio port pass through.

At least one exemplary embodiment is directed to implementing personalized sound management applications. A module comprising hardware and software is provided to manufacturers to build a device. A process is architected for remote enabling of a device with personalized sound management applications. Consumers select applications for managing their sound environment through purchased and subscription hardware and applications via a web environment. All products developed by manufacturers are tested and certified running the personalized sound management applications. Manufacturers and consumers may both be covered under for liability insurance. Users may remotely purchase may update, purchase hardware, add and download subscription based applications, and replace consumable through the web environment.
Abstract:
A hanging type wireless earphone for carrying a digital music player includes a pair of speaker bases and a hanging frame. The two speaker bases are respectively mounted on two ends of the hanging frame. When the hanging frame is worn on a user's head, the two speaker bases are respectively positioned and covered on the user's two ears. One of the two speaker bases is provided with a receiving space and a positioning element. The receiving space is used to receive a digital music player of any specification, such as an MP3 player. The positioning element is used to stably position the digital music player in the receiving space, so that the digital music player of any specification can be easily integrated into the hanging type wireless earphone and directly positioned on the user's head without using any necklace auxiliary.

Abstract:
Electronic devices such as compact portable media players are provided. A housing for an electronic device may be relatively compact. The housing may include a door assembly with an attached spring-loaded clip. The electronic device may include a hold switch. Depending on the state of the hold switch, the electronic device may be in an off mode, a continuous playback mode, or a shuffle playback mode. The electronic device may not have integrated media playback controls such as play, pause, rewind, fast forward, etc. As one example, the electronic device may connect to an accessory that has media playback controls. Buttons and other user interfaces may be included in the accessory and user input information may be conveyed between the accessory and the electronic device using a wired path including audio connectors. The electronic device may include a printed circuit board assembly that is nested together with a battery assembly.
