    Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a wind turbine system reducing, preventing or mitigating vibrations due to wind induced vibrations. The wind turbine system includes a wind turbine tower 102, a sensor arrangement 304 for sensing vibrations of the wind turbine tower, a nacelle 104 mounted to the wind turbine tower via a yaw bearing 310 and a control system 306 for controlling yawing of the nacelle relative to the wind turbine tower. The system is adapted for sensing 402 a vibration of the wind turbine tower using the sensor arrangement, providing 404 an input for the control system in response to the vibration of the wind turbine tower as sensed by the sensor arrangement, and providing 406 an output by the control system based on the input, and yawing 408 the wind turbine nacelle based on the output from the control system, and hereby reducing wind induced vibrations of the tower and nacelle, particularly vortex induced vibrations and/or vibrations due to galloping.

    Abstract: This invention concerns a wind turbine blade pitch system for rotating rotor blades 18 of a wind turbine 10 relative to a hub 20. The wind turbine pitch system comprises an actuating stem (38) moveable in an axial direction; a traverse holder 40; a traverse 42 rotatably mounted on the actuating stem 38, wherein the traverse 42 comprises a traverse arm 44 radially extending from the traverse holder 40; a connection plate 62 rotationally coupling the traverse 42 and the traverse holder 40; and, a crank arm 46 connected at one end to the traverse arm 44 and at another end to a rotatable pitch bearing 48 coupled to the rotor blade 18. The crank arm 46 is configured to convert the axial movement of the actuating stem 38 into a rotational movement of the rotor blade 18. The connection plate 62 comprises an inner annular flange region 78 secured to the traverse holder 40; an outer annular flange region 76 secured to the traverse 42; and, a central annular region 80 radially positioned between and connecting the inner and outer annular flange regions 78, 76. The central annular region 80 is configured to flex relative to the inner and outer annular flange portions 78, 76 to reduce the stiffness of the connection plate 62 between inner and outer annular flange portions 78, 76.

    Abstract: Embodiments provide for the control of a power plant including several generators by setting a reference frame for the generators with a first and a second axis; measuring a grid demand voltage at the shared connection point; determining active and reactive currents required at the shared connection point based on the grid demand voltage and grid codes; transforming the active and reactive currents required at the shared connection point to the reference frame where the first axis defines a first current set point and the second axis defines a second current set point; and dispatching the first and second current set points to generator controllers associated with each generator.     Abstract: A wind turbine system with a wind turbine having a HV switchgear positioned inside a housing positioned on the ground, external to the wind turbine tower to provide increased safety inside the tower. The housing has a concrete baseframe forming a compartment, and an enclosure part mounted on the baseframe. The blowout of the HV switchgear is connected to the baseframe compartment via an opening in the floor of the enclosure part, and a blowout channel connects the baseframe compartment to a compartment formed between a ceiling and a roof of the enclosure part, and this upper compartment has a blowout opening to the environments, preferably posisioned at least 2 m above ground level. The enclosure part has a door to allow a person to enter the housing, and wall elements of the enclosure part are preferably formed by metal plates. The blowout compartments of the baseframe and upper compartment serve to lower pressure of a blowout, and thus helps to provide a safe blowout output to the environment.
