    Abstract: A damper assembly for a hinge includes a damper unit (10) with a piston arranged to be moveable over a working stroke within a cylinder (15) containing damping fluid. The damper unit (10) is mounted on a bracket (11) and retained in position by a housing (12). A mechanism is provided for converting rotational movement of the hinge in at least part of one direction into actuation of the damper unit (10) on its working stroke. The movement converting mechanism is arranged to act on the cylinder (15) at a position substantially outside the range of movement of the piston on its working stroke. The arrangement minimises the transmission of radial forces from the movement of the door to the cylinder (15).

    Abstract: Klecni šarnir (10) ima sestav blažilnika, kije montiran na prirobnici (11) njegovega lončka šarnirja. Sestav blažilnika zagotavlja dušilno odpornost zapirajočemu gibanju šarnirja preko njegove končne faze. Sestav blažilnika obsega blažilnik (17) in prožilo (24), oba sta montirana v vrsto v držalu (23). Udarna plošča (32) na eni strani ročice (13) šarnirja je razporejena, da ubira s krilcem (28) na prožilu (24), pri čemer povzroči da prožilo rotira okoli svoje vzdolžne osi (25). Par rebro (29) / utor (30) odmikala med držalom (23) in prožilom (24) povzroči, da se prožilo premakne vzdolž svoje osi (25), ko rotira.     Abstract: An ingot feeding apparatus 10 for a diecasting machine comprises a carriage 13 for feeding an ingot 16 into a bath (11, Fig. 2) of molten metal for use in the diecasting process, sensors for detecting the level of molten liquid in the bath and a processing unit (26, Fig. 2) for operating the carriage in response to signals from the level detecting sensors. The level detecting sensors comprises a surface sensor (22, Fig. 2) that measures the temperature in the bath above the surface of the molten liquid therein. Preferably, the processing unit additionally operates the carriage in response to temperature measured by a sub-surface sensor (23, Fig. 2) in the body of molten liquid in the bath. The carriage may also comprise a carriage mounted sensor 24 for measuring temperature in the bath and which can also provide an indication of the proximity of the carriage to the surface of molten liquid in the bath.
