Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas turbine combustor capable of obtaining both high combustion efficiency and low NOx discharge concentration over the wide output range by burning lean air-fuel mixture with utilizing high temperature burned gas without using a variable mechanism of air flow for combustion or the like. SOLUTION: The gas turbine combustor 10 is equipped with and a pre- mixture injection pipe 16 introducing an air-fuel mixture into the combustion chamber 11. The mixture from the pre-mixture injection pipe 16 is injected toward the burned gas 19a existing in the downstream of the flame 19 injected from a burner 15 opening the exhaust outlet 15a inside the combustion chamber 11 and mixed with the burned gas 19a. Even if it is mixture out of the lean inflammable limit, an active group in the burned gas 19a is effective for a combustion reaction and the combustion reaction of the mixture can be induced. Since oxygen concentration in the mixture is lower than that in the air and dispersed into space, generation of NOx can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a linear image from a planar image capable of specifying a linear image position even when the linear image formed by a moving object such as space debris or a meteor does not clearly appear on the image by improving processing of image data. SOLUTION: Image data processing comprising a dividing process S2 of dividing the image data of the planar image picked up by a CCD image pickup element into plural pieces of mutually parallel columnar image data of a column direction and a central value selecting process S3 of determining medians determined per each picture element data array as central values of the columnar image data is carried out in all directions of the planar image. Then an analyzing process is carried out comprising a significant value detecting process S6 of detecting whether or not a central value of each columnar image data is a significant value and a linear image position specifying process S7 of determining a column position of columnar image data with a central value showing a significant value as a linear image position caused by moving object passage or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the convergence characteristics of electromagnetic waves corresponding to a purpose in an electromagnetic wave converging device to be used as a sunlight converging device or electromagnetic wave transmitter/ receiver for communication. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a linear focusing reflector, in which a cross-sectional form vertical to a bus is a parabolic line or curved line simulating this parabolic line and when varying the cross-sectional form varying a focal distance by varying the cross-sectional form, any one of or both a bend moment and an axial force are loaded on both the terminals or closely to both the terminals of a mirror board comprising the reflector. By locating such a linear focusing reflector so that the buses can be almost perpendicular to each other and focal positions can be matched, the point focusing type variable focal distance electromagnetic wave converging device can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar collecting device which is light in weight and has a high solar light collecting performance. SOLUTION: The device includes a mirror group consisting of a primary reflecting mirror 11 and a secondary reflecting mirror 12 each having a shape of section of the same parabola in an arbitrary section perpendicular to a certain direction. A primary reflection of an incident ray is carried out with the primary reflection mirror, and then a secondary reflection of the incident ray is carried out with the secondary reflection mirror, thereby focusing a solar ray to one point. Since a parabolic reflector of lines focus type is adopted, the reflector is constituted of a frame of predetermined shape and a film mirror body, and the electromagnetic wave focusing device can be made thin and lightweight. Further, the electromagnetic wave focusing device can be bent without considerable loss of accuracy and considerable increase of mass. Accordingly, the mirror body of itself is bent, made small, stored in such a narrow space of a rocket or the like, transported to a space the solar collecting device which has high light collecting performance with accuracy is realized on the spot.

SOLUTION: This method includes a means of extracting an image of the heavenly body from the respective images obtained, by continuous photographing in a fixed star-tracking mode; a means of extracting a shape feature a/b, an area s and a position of the center of gravity (x, y) of the image of the extracted heavenly body; a means of registering the extracted feature 1/b, an image number, an accumulation counter as a list; a means of adding '1' to the accumulation counter in the list, when it is decided that data are already registered in the list. It is distinguished, based mainly on a value of the accumulation counter whether the heavenly body is a fixed star or another heavenly star, and the space debris is distinguished from the image features, mainly the position of the center of gravity, the shape or the like.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airship capable of ensuring pressure-resistance to pressure difference between the inside and the outside of an air sac without increasing weight, and obtaining sufficient buoyancy ability. SOLUTION: Outer film material 3 of the air sac 2 storing levitation gas is bound with a plurality of longitudinal bands 11 extending in a longitudinal direction of the air sac 2 and a plurality of latitudinal bands 12 extending in a circumferential direction of the air sac 2, and a divided curved surface 4 bulging outward is formed by the outer film material part surrounded by the longitudinal bands 11 and the longitudinal bands 12. Inner pressure is shared and supported by a plurality of the longitudinal bands 11 and the longitudinal bands 12 to keep the shape of the air sac 2, and the outer film material 3 is formed by divided curved surfaces 4 having a small radius of curvature, so that tension acting on the outer film material 3 is decreased. Consequently, weight is reduced by thinning the outer film material 3, thereby improving buoyancy ability.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion equipment which emits less uncombusted components and NOx by improving a combustor which employs a premixing and swirling combustion system. SOLUTION: The combustion equipment has a cylindrical combustion chamber 2 whose one side is open, and in the vicinity of the opening, a step 3 is provided to enlarge the opening. A heat storing member 5 is located at the step 3. The member 5 is heated to red heat by receiving heat and maintains the condition. A mixed gas is injected to the combustion chamber 2 from the tangent direction. Then flames are generated in the combustion chamber 2 to heat the member 5 to red heat. The flames, swirling, reach the vicinity of the opening of the combustion chamber 2 to generate recirculating flow at the step 3. The recirculating flow comes into contact with the member 5 to have the unburnt components contained in the recirculating flow combusted.
