Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for providing forwarding information and QoS(Quality of Service) information in a flow-based network device is provided to dynamically apply forwarding information and QoS processing information to a corresponding flow. CONSTITUTION: If an inputted packet is not a primary packet(S110), a forwarding engine unit obtains the serial information for the packet. The forwarding engine unit first and second information from a flow table within a network device based on the state information for a specific flow(S160). The forwarding engine unit judges based on a rout ID of the serial information whether or not the first and second information are updated(S170). If is judged whether or not the first and second information are updated, the forwarding engine unit updates the flow table(S190).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a terminal control system, and more particularly, to a system and a method which allows a user to shift an IP service from a terminal to which the service is currently provided to a user's other terminal, thereby enabling the user to continuously using the IP service without disconnection. The system comprises: an authentication authorization accounting (AAA) interface unit which receives unique information having fixed properties with respect to a terminal authenticated by a subscriber terminal authentication system and a user of the authenticated terminal; a terminal interface unit which receives status information having variable properties with respect to the authorized terminal and a currently used service; a unique information managing unit which stores and manages the unique information; a status information managing unit which stores and manages the status information; and a terminal shift management control unit which provides information regarding terminals available for the current service with reference to the unique information and the status information, when there is a terminal shift request, generates service session information which is required when the currently used service is sent to a terminal selected from the information and sends the generated service session information to the selected terminal to which the service is to be shifted. Accordingly, the user of the terminal can conveniently change the terminal to continuously use the IP service without disconnection while using the IP service.

Abstract: A protocol conversion method for offering the video on demand service and an apparatus therefor are provided to make the video on demand service controlling process clearly by removing the duplication factors which may be generated when using two protocols. A user terminal(110) receives various parameters corresponding to the VOD service request of a user from a VOD portal server(120), and then prepares/transmits an RTSP DESCRIBE command based on the received parameters to the first protocol conversion unit(112). The first protocol conversion unit converts the received RTSP DESCRIBE command into an SIP INVITE command and then transmits the converted result to an IMS(140). A VOD application server(130) confirms the right of the user, requests a contents transfer control unit(160) to select a proper VOD streaming server according to the location of the user terminal and contents, and then receives the selection result. The VOD application server changes the receiver of the SIP INVITE command so as to designate contents which a VOD streaming server(170) selected by the contents transfer control unit has, and then transmits the changed result to the IMS.

Abstract: A TCM(Tandem Connection Monitoring) method in an MPLS network is provided to make a rate payment reference and responsibility clear based on an SLA(Service Level Agreement) conducted between a user and a service provider and between the service provider and a network provider. A service provider-level TCM receives a TCM packet from a customer equipment(S610), and calculates a BIP-16(Byte Interleaved Parity-16) from the received packet(S620). The TCM compares BIP-16 stored in the received packet and the calculated BIP-16 to check over whether or not there is an error(S630). If the two values are different, namely, if there is an error, the TCM stores 1 in an IE bit(S640). Abstract: A user authentication system for supporting a user based service policy in a functional terminal and a method thereof are provided to utilize a conventional terminal while minimizing changes in specifications of the conventional terminal by modifying a part of an authentication procedure in the conventional functional terminal and providing a network based user authentication scheme. Abstract: An emergency call service system on an IP network and a method thereof are provided to enable a network management apparatus to search for the location of a user terminal through the received location information of the user terminal, acquire the location information of the user terminal, and provide the location information to an emergency CA, thereby providing an emergency call service to all user terminals with IP addresses and securing QOS(Quality Of Service) for an emergency call connection between the user terminals and an emergency center through CAC(Call Admission Control) resource management. An emergency call service system on an IP(Internet Protocol) network comprises a policy control server, an emergency CA(Call Agent)(300), a CA(200), and a network management apparatus. The policy control server performs the mapping of an IP address and local information to the ID of a user terminal(111) to generate the location information of the user terminal. The emergency CA recognizes an emergency center(116-1n6) suitable for a location of the user terminal originating an emergency call and performs an emergency call connection between the user terminal and the emergency center. The CA relays the emergency call of the user terminal to the emergency CA. The network management apparatus stores the location information of the user terminal generated through the policy control server, provides the location information of the user terminal originating the emergency call to the emergency CA, and performs resource reservation for the emergency call connection.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for measuring delay in an Ethernet network are provided to measure an end-to-end frame delay value based on two end points performing measurement in a state when entire network synchronization is not performed in the Ethernet service network. Abstract: A dynamic call forwarding method between a WiBro(Wireless Broadband Internet) network and another network is provided to enable a multi-mode terminal to receive a call incoming through the WiBro network even though the terminal which receives a WiBro network service is out of a WiBro network service area, thereby improving a call success rate. A call generated by another terminal is incoming in a WiBro network(S501), and the incoming call passes through SIP(Session Initiation Protocol)-ISUP(ISDN User Part) signaling mapping and media conversion processes(S502), then the call is delivered to an S-CSCF(Serving-Call Session Control Function)(S503).
